What’s your point? Panthers were down Cleary, Luai, Martin, Crichton, Yeo, To’o. As usual when the cowboys played Penrith at full strength later in the year they were beaten by about 40, they can’t beat a full strength Penrith.

They beat them with half their side missing due to origin and others to injury. They play them again last round, hopefully Penrith don’t rest 20 players like they did last year and see if the Cowboys are a true threat, don’t forget they got thrashed 66-18 to the Tigers of all teams and have been far from their best this season, they’ll be back in the 8, not top 4 though. But I don’t think their performances this year have warranted them to be a Premiership threat.

​@@russell3436 and that tigers game was an anomaly. Tigers are terrible but on that particular night, no one was getting anywhere near them. Cowboys were just unlucky that they were there opponents. That wont happen to cowboys ever again

I didnt watch the game (just came here for the highlights) but you would think they would take a kick for touch and take 5 tackles to get close and go for a field goal hey

​@@johnmiceteronly 5minute OT halves. So Panthers only had a little over a minute to get from their touch to a drop kick distance. They might have just been conserving energy for the 2nd OT half with this play

@@hatchetomahawk panthers could’ve broken their tackles and scored up the field. It was risky. Better option would’ve have been to play on, get closer, go for field goal

Absolutely not the best team of the last decade, it’s the storm without a doubt. The panthers haven’t been a top 3 side over the last ten years the same way the storm have.

Cowboys barley got past a depleted injury filled second grade Panthers team coming off a bye. Panthers will still come out on top

@@minsenn9732 not an excuse, both teams missing players to origin and injury, panthers were still the better team on field and after game stats but they couldn’t get the job done and they lost to cowboys who were already written off this year.

It was a great game. Unfortunately the refereeing officials decided the result. Mid first half a Panthers try called back for obstruction. The try should have stood. Instead a penalty and the Cowboys scored shortly after. 54m try by the Cowboy foward on debut was a double movement. Should have been checked by the bunker. 77m a questionable ruling of knockon against Sorensen.

@@kers225abk2 not a panthers supporter, just commenting on the game, but I’d argue this is one of the better cowboys teams I’ve seen this year, no Robson and co but still considerably better than the lineup from the start of the season.

Both teams have the same amount out for state of origin
