No. Seriously don’t go changing everything after 1, 1 point loss. Soni is great and will win loads of games for Penrith. But the Kenny and soni tandem is like walters and paix. Start with the guy who will tackle and get clean passes to the kickers and forwards. Then put on the guy who’s gonna tear a side apart with creative play late in the half. It’s a tactic as old as time. Get your work done then you can play.

Reffing was good, but don't pretend as though their success has been off the back of unfair officiating. People love to hate the best for any reason, they've earnt their premierships.

Penrith are now getting sold-out crowds in to watch. The NRL has achieved all they wanted with them now. The refs will carry the Dolphins this season to give them some success in their first season.

@@organicod2438 The nrl has way more high capacity stadiums to work with than BlueBet and there has been 15 other fan bases death riding them last year. That argument makes zero sense. Penrith was off side a lot and the refs let it go , Michael Ennis even said the refs are letting it go early in the season to let the game “flow” more .

yeah hope so too they've already dominated the game the past few years, but i have a weird sensation that this year they will get close to winning the premiership again or possibly winning the premiership then make a video on their youtube channel being like "we lost our first game but we held our heads up and we persisted and now look at us we won the whole premiership", but i hope it doesn't turn out that way, the other teams need a chance

I’m a broncos fan. I think the panthers are fine. They’ve not been a tough team. They’ve been a classy elegant team. Last night Brisbane pulled them down in the mud and made it a fight. The panthers still almost won. So when they get in another game like that I’d anticipate them skipping away late. As for Brisbane they’ve finally got some pride in the jersey and themselves and the talent that’s always been there will now start to be difference making

@@Matt-vr5zk You will lose him to another club then. Cheques and balances, he had a few questionable runs but he also commited in a defence as a fb. For a really young guy I think hes better for that experience and will grow if he gets cameos there. Idk im not so critical of the performance.

@@relaxedinmymind well what should they do with Welsh who has been playing fullback for years? Cobbo is a better winger or centre than fullback and once he goes back to one of those two positions with Welsh at fullback than the broncos will be a much better team

@@Matt-vr5zk he’s right though. Oates came up with 2 unforced errors at crucial stages. That almost lead to points from Penrith. Oates has a great work ethic and great energy. But his handling is very questionable at times. Cobbo was terrible at fullback. Completely lacked situational awareness and positional awareness. Hard to be elite when you’re making mistakes that everyone has warned you about. Don’t run to the outside in the wet in Sydney, you’ll be over the sidelines. Don’t remain up right when on your goal line you’ll be driven back in. Fact is that’s amateur hour stuff.

They've been training with Walsh there, wait til he arrives and it will look a lot smoother

Regardless of how clunky the Penrith attack was, they had the best halfback of the past few seasons running the show against a Broncos side plagued by controversies off the back of one of the worst finishes to a season in memory. Their goal line defence was great.

The only try scorer on the broncos side was English as well. I think I'm starting to see a pattern.
