@Jacob no, no he won't. The club will back him up. I think everyone is sick of some of the unnecessary rubbish in the game. The NRL are, just look at how many sin bins and send off's there are. So when a coach basically backs that position, but possibly make a mistake, I think he will be backed.

He might not lose his job but I guarantee you this he will settle out of court , defamation of character.

Emmanuel Yoonn The saying "he wears his heart on his sleeve" simply means he has the maturity of a 5yo brat when he doesn't get what he wants. You say he is entertaining, I say he is an embarrassment. This is the guy who abused and threatened the referee the day after Australia lost a World Cup final to New Zealand. Yeah, really entertaining. A coach is supposed to inspire his players and be an authority figure they can respect; all Stuart ever does is teach his players that it doesn't matter if you lose, as long as you can find something to use as an excuse. Between the Roosters, Parra, Cronulla and Canberra, Stuart has missed the finals 11 of the past 15 seasons, but racked up $120k in fines insisting that it's always someone else's fault. Anyone else with his record would be long gone.

He was a grub player and he's a grub coach :P 0 premierships to his name in how many years? This was just his way of avoiding the fact he lost to a weakened panthers team, at home, when Raiders needed it and Panthers didn't... not to mention the crying last time they met when the Panthers ruffled Tapine after scoring a try. I expected more from the Raiders.

He has a right to his own opinion, but to say the things he said in that forum is inappropriate and and says more about Ricky as person and a NRL coach. He can't control his emotions and takes no responsibility for what his role is in the Raiders organization. Keep that personal stuff to yourself and speak with the other individual man to man. @@carloreid3545 Stuart had a fight with salmon's father after Stuart ran onto the field to abuse young Salmon when he was 12 YEARS OLD, and Stuart resented a tackle Salmon made on Stuart's son. Seriously, your team has just had its season ended with a whimper, and a professional coach thinks it's appropriate to let fly over a ten year old personal agenda? Canberra deserve better. Stuart is just an angry little man who should have been fired years ago. He has missed the finals 11 of the last 15 years despite having multiple chances with four big clubs. Any other coach with his record would have been sacked years ago, but Ricky bluffs people into thinking that because he talks angry he must know how to coach. Remember, this is the same coach who lost the World Cup Final with Australia, and then abused the referee and called him a cheat in front of witnesses the next day. What a class act.

@@daleviker5884 This is not true. It's a lot deeper than that. I knew of this situation back when it occurred. I was a ref in shire from 2009 to 2018. Not going to go into it here, but it is pretty foul what Salmon did and said even at that age (for context Sticky's daughter is autistic to give you a bit of a clue). Sticky should not have said what he said in the press conference though. Definitely let his emotions get the better of him. I can't say I would have did any better, god knows how I would have reacted if my family went through that.

He wasn't kicked in the balls, Raiders player took a dive to get a penalty. He shouldn't have been holding Salmon's legs trying to slow the play down. Sucked in Raiders lost 🤦

Just found out, they are investigating and Ricky might get suspended, stop these press conferences, the player just sits there while coaches get asked question after question, something interesting actually got said and now we are investigating this!? How ridiculous.

What's so great about it? If you like hearing trash talk you can sit with fans. Coaches in professional sport are supposed to have more intelligence and more discipline than fans. In the major professional sports in the world, like the the EPL or the NFL, this would never happen, and if it did, it would be his last day as a manager.

In the 59th minute, Salmon kicked out of a tackle and hit Sterling in his meat and two veg, and also for good luck managed to kick him in the head when Sterling dropped to the ground in pain. Wasn’t a good look at all. Dare say he will get a couple weeks off Salmon.
