wow im new to ows this is crazy technical gonna take some time to learn and get the hang of all this thank u for this really detailed and awesome upload Dudley.
finally got a chance to shoot. went great for first two rounds, but then all the slip and slide of these no-biting tie-ins had my peep site all over. Session over.
you prob made the same mistake I did, not tightened it down enough, lost my peep yesterday , I re did it this morning with 6 half hitches then the 4 back served ones, and tugged hard on each one, it's solid now I can't even push the serving up or down with my fingers, also put a safety tie around the peep itself
When you add twist to adjust your peep, does it matter if you added it to the top cam or bottom cam? Guessing this will also affect cam timing, but with just one or so twists, it won't affect it much to make an attributable impact? Cheers, awesome video series
Ryan, it does not matter which one you add twists to, and it does not affect cam timing. Remember, you are adding twist to the string....not the cables....to adjust the peep. Because the string is attached in the same location on both cams, it does not affect cam timing. The pressure on the cams caused by the string will always be evenly distributed between the two. Cam timing is affected when you put twists into one cable or the other. Then you are affecting the way one cam rolls over my putting a twist in one cable.
uhhh... this method seems quicker than others, but i am kinda nervous that I can take these serving ties on each side of my peep and easily push them away from the peep with my finger. I pulled tight as hell, but they do not bite on the bowstring. I fear they will naturally slide away after many pulls and let my peep site jump off for freedom never to be seen again.
I prefer to swap thread stands between the two bundles in order to rotate the peep relative to the string. This way I'm not effecting the tune of the bow while arriving at proper peen alignment.
Lost me. Do u mean u wrap serving from one strand, across peep, and continue on the other strand to wrap, using only 1 piece of serving? I'm assuming u meant strand instead of stand. Also assuming you're using 1 piece of serving instead of tying over and under the peep with separate pieces like the video demonstrates
@@otis6791 I believe he meant robbing strands from each color (lets say a two colored string - green and orange). Move a few strands of the orange over to the green side of peep, and moving an exact amount of the green strands over to the orange side. Either both strands clockwise or counter-clockwise, depending on the direction you want the peep to go. Keep moving strands in the respective direction until peep position is required. It's much easier to just rotate the string and set the d-loop in alignment with peep though.
Ty Jon. You should make the silver back in the too smooth Mat black color. If anybody wants to trade a too smooth or a silver back for a wise choice brand new Lmk.
