i've been working on auraxiuming the candy cannon for the black cammo.... best choice ever! HA only players hate loosing to an infil using that gun, i've even dropped a max and reaver with it before. 10/10 would recommend
I'm new to this game I main battle medic and can I just say this is why I'm hooked to this now it's the people like this who does not mind taking the time to teach new players like me keep up the the good work 😀😀👍
What server do you play on. I currently am a returning veteran player. I am personally looking for new players to train my style of play and my style of leadership. I mainly enjoy running small sqauds. My leadership is very psychological. I used to lead small sqauds that are made to mess with larger Platoon leaders minds. It involves splitting numbers of Platoons in order to skew odds into the favor of over popped bases. It's easy done then said. Haha Anyway I play on Emerald mainly now, as of a week ago. However I wouldn't mind showing you some of what I know about leadership. As well movement and how to use client side for aggressive play and to even catch the most skilled players off guard.
Just wanted to say thank ya for reviving me at that amp station on Amerish this morning, that honestly really made my day just to see your name on the revive menu. And thank ya again for always doing in detailed and honest content like this.
For long range engagements where you're in the trenches, trying to push ground, I have actually had a lot of success sniping with this thing. A true jack of all trades gun, and ultimately it is what you make of it.
•_• I never thought of the increased equip time there. Just auraxiumed my medic and never thought about that before... Imma go make some changes real quick
Yeah it isn't something that I normally consider, but with this weapon I sort of had a bit of a harder thought about it and it came to: "Huh... maybe a foregrip isn't the best thing for the weapon". Cheers for the comment mate!
@@mypfpiswhatourphonesees4294 the implants for medic are amazing.. that doesnt really help you though lol, just let others "go first" when clearing rooms or pushing choke points, because you cant rez people when you're dead 😋
The NS-11A only drops by one damage tier, so the increased minimum damage range from High Velocity Ammo doesn't have a significant impact at any distance. If you swap it out for Soft Point Ammo, you nearly double your maximum damage range. The increased muzzle velocity is nice, but 640 m/s is already more than good enough for most engagements. I'd recommend SPA as a default pick with HVA being a situational replacement.
TL;DR: It's great for new players as it is easy to use and teaches you the basics of the game whilst still retaining it's usefulness whilst you improve. Thanks for this! Just started playing and I will give this a go.
i love this rifle. Helped me a lot to getting started in my NSO char. the Medic got this akward delay before the Burst gets fired on the starter Rifle, makes it not that siutable in cqc
12:25 Irons are actually pretty good with the NS-11A; They're clean, the angular front post is pleasing to look at, and it ain't so intrusive that it blocks peripheral much. I do agree that the forward grip and compensator don't feel like they do much beneficial, would rather take flash hider and soft point ammo with lazer. Keeps it in that 'jack of all trades' role; ADS is already pretty good with it and even with SPA the velocity makes most sniper rifles sweat nervously; I beleive there are only 8 weapons that beat the NS-11's default velocity, being the extreme range Snipers, the auraxium snipers, the Railjack, and the Vanu's CME, wht the TR's Rhino and Bull LMGs only reaching a tie. TL;DR Fast bullets, very few weapons can match or outperform.
Fun Fact: The "Diamondback" which is intended as a reskin for the NS-11A actually has a different set of sights that makes the projectiles fired easier to track.
This weapon is also just amazing if you're a TR main but you love the NC guns, it hits the middle ground of having a good fire rate, damage and it feels like a small stick of dynamite when it goes off
You know, you can do weapon reviews for the former alert reward weapons. So your viewers can decide on what to invest their A7 at first. Otherwise a fitting review for an escalating playerbase ;D
I recommend Showdown if you're pressed for certs and need a revolver, or the Shortbow if you're pressed for certs but want to kit out your engineer. Avoid the 357 IA unless you're progressed enough to know what you're doing.
@@JohnFromAccounting I got the showdown a year ago. And two days ago i bought the "deringer". I am pretty satisfied with it. The shortbow though... I prefer the archer over that one.
That alert underboss is amazing. 1hk if you score a hs up close. I wish they extended the range to 5m, but overall it works like an underbarrel shotgun when you turn corners with it. Had some fun instagibbing people up close, although it is unforgiving if you miss a shot.
CAMIKAZE78 id say start with the underboss or the showdown, depending if you want the 1hk potential at 2m, or the added accuracy to a slower firing blackhand. The shortbow isn’t that great, I would say get that one last if necessary.
As a new player who redeemed the weapon from the code, It's making the early learning process way more enjoyable that It would with the default starting weapons lol
A good gun, but unfortunately outclassed by almost every other Assault Rifle, at least on TR. When you're competing with guns like the T1B Cycler, the TAR and the TORQ 9, it's easy to look disappointing. NS weapons are usually great guns for new players because they are forgiving and will help them learn the shooting mechanics.
The NS AR, carbin and LMG weapons from a TR soldiers perspective are just worse than the starter weapons. Even if you want to trade for accuracy the specialized versions of the starter AR, carbin and LMG are a better option.
getting headshots is different per game, but in PS2, it's been..weird. at least at mid ranged, the heads are tiny :/ too small..but I'll be trying out this gun when I get home. mained Medic, playing more Engi for close range engagements and point defense, but Combat Medic is my go-to
time will help for sure! I think the stark difference with other recent titles is Time To Kill (TTK). You need at least 4 HS to down someone here, so HS at first & second shots wouldn't net you a kill without controlling the COF afterwards (or without bursting). Hopefully you'll have fun with this NS11, it's surely the most performing gun for me at that time due all advantages listed in this video!
I got this gun back when it came out with a Gamestop Planetside cash card so i have a NS-11P (Not a NS-11AP, not that it really makes a difference) and if you're a medic in any faction looking for a versitile new rifle, grab this thing. Even if things are going bad for you in a fight it just feels great to use. And with solid stats to boot...yet to find a medic rifle i like more.
I might make a change, I'm currently running the grip but soft point ammo. Though, I might check out high velocity ammo with a laser instead. It's so true though, this gun is a laser beam of a weapon. I tend to fight mid range with it, I'm more of a mid range medic player that keeps allies moving and myself behind them. I for sure can hold my own with this gun. I've been maining medic on my NSO account. I'm normally a SASR, TSAR and Ghost player and have played the class as a main for roughly 5 years. I finally now think it's time to stretch to become medic player as a main. I'm working to become more of medic player with a mid push play style that's more relaxed. Away from my heavy aggressive style of a infil CQC sniper. The training to burst using this weapon should be a great introduction to the style I want to move to. I really enjoy so far playing a medic that has C4. I find many people don't expect it. Maxes hand themselves to me as well many people thinking I'm a easy target.
"Take time practisign headshots" Nah mate. After 7 years the game is still almost unplayable in big fights. Getting 25-40 fps. I love how smooth your gameplay looks. Also does your sound clitch or get laggy in big fights ?
I.......just never liked the A or P variants of it. I could never track targets with it even with the compensator & forward grip. I used the 2x reflex sight. I finally auraxiumed both of them because I'm a completionist, but I really drug my feet on the P version. Hated it.
@@jamesb3497 No problem. It's not as good as empire specific SMGs (Eridani/Cyclone/Armistice) but it does it job well and it's pretty fun ! Make sure to hit all the pellets for max effect.
In a nutshell: great accuracy, great mobility, fast reload, fast bullet travel, low recoil, and is a NS weapon, that means white bullet trails and the sound is undistingishable between teams, the only bad thing is slightly less dps, so yeah, one of the best weapons, and even its free!
Any gun I pick, I flank someone, I see their shield shimmering when I drop a full mag into them. They just turn around and insta head shot me :( Then I see their playercard and their shield isnt even half down. Someone please help T_T
Sounds like you are facing a hvy. As said in the video you need to get those jucy headshots, because they do double dmg aswell as ignoring the overshield and the suitslot resistances. Bodyshots don't, because nanoweave armor reduces bodyshots by another 20% and the overshield gives additional 350 (?) health.
If you are flanking someone you should have time to aim for the head, try to practice firing a burst rather than full auto maybe 3 or 5 rounds at a time? If you get a head shot on 2 or 3 3 of those shots they will be easy to kill. If you are bad at aiming try to get close and use a laser sight with a high damage weapon like the carnage. Typically high damage weapons are better at close range where as low damage weapons are better for aiming at range.
With a forward grip and a compensator using soft point ammunition and a 2 times optic this weapon is very newbie friendly. Don't get me wrong though when I say, every attachment works. This thing is so versatile that you can stick just about anything on this gun and make it work. But turning this gun into a laser gun with killing power further out than normal is not a bad way to go.
Do not use softpoint ammo on this gun. It deals 143 max damage and 125 min damage. Both of those equate to 4 headshot kill on a normal infantry target. Softpoint ammo extending max damage range is useless because it's 4 headshots to kill at all ranges. High velocity ammo is better because the bullet velocity increase makes the gun easier to use, especially at longer ranges.
Ah yes, my lowest KPM AR ever. God I despise that thing. Very low DPS with a lot of horizontal recoil *and* a high horizontal tolerance with middle of the road stats everywhere... Pretty much all my ""favourite"" traits in one weapon. Though I do mainly play NC, so I suppose I feel pretty spoiled as far as ARs go.
I don't have enough A7 yet to score myself that weapon, but I will get there eventually man! Will be sure to look at getting a review out for you when I can :)
Does anyone know if the AP is still redeemable? I have been using the a for years now, love this weapon. what's even better about any ns weapon is that if you have reason to be hopping factions it is on every faction for you.
Excellent gameplay at Tawrich Recycling. This is how to play the game. Noobs take note of the constant movement, darting in and out, supporting friendlies, jumping ahead to finish off wounded enemies, pulling back from a gunfight to stay alive.
Jack of all trades, master of none. Personally not a fan of this weapon since it definitely favors passive ranged play, but I agree that overall it's not a purchase your going to regret for most players. Especially when the P variant is currently free.
I don't agree that it's a passive gun. 0.75 ADS speed means the gun should be used with corners a lot. It's not like the burst rifles or the Sabr 13 where it forces you to sit at the back, this gun wants you to be mobile and looking for new angles.
@@JohnFromAccounting Mobile doesn't necessarily mean aggressive, the lower dps means your often going to lose a head on dps race. I find the ads movement, coupled with the low reload and low recoil, make this a excellent weapon for hanging back and holding angles, and punishing enemies who can't close the distance fast enough.
So, I thought I might just slide this in as a question for the community. I’ve recently gotten hooked on the game, and I’ve been playing three classes mainly. Engineer primarily. Light assault secondarily. And Stalker infiltrator thirdly. In terms of weaponry or desirable upgrades to things, what should I cert into? (I’ve upgraded majority of my Engineer’s tools, I’m only able to play as an AI MANA user since I don’t have the certs for other stuff, so I’ve been using Jockey which I need to upgrade.)
It might be tempting to buy new weapons, but you don't need them to perform well. Use the base weapons a lot (consider auraxiuming them) then consider buying new ones.
agree with Mitchell here. every guide out there have mentioned this issue, so I think people already be warned at least once. But if you still insist, make use of "Trial Period" of each gun, each character, before consider buying them. That way you can use it against real player and not regret buying it
If you have time to play this combined arms MMO game which requires substantial time investment in order to git gud, you DO have time to sit through a ten-minute plus review for a gun in a video game
I see C4 can still be thrown... guess i won't be rejoining PS2. Imo C4 should require a plant-timer of 3-5 seconds before arming.. NOT handled like a FKing grenade.
