Part 3 is a special edition of my Pittsburgh Line trip in July. I've always wanted to see the summit of the Allegheny Mountains on the PITL but never got the chance to. Staying in the Harrisburg area for a while, I took this chance to make a mini trip within the trip I was already on to see action on each side of the mountains summit. I scratched a few cool historic railroad landmarks off my list such as the Horseshoe Curve, Galitzin Tunnels and the Cassandra Railroad Overlook. All in all it was a really fun day trip, got to see lots of cool things like the ACU helper sets, a wrecked SD33ECO locomotive on a flat car, huge farm tractors on flats for export, and the trains struggling up both the East and West slopes of the Allegheny Mountains.
