Not long ago the only people surfing Gums were the bodyboarders. Now John, Koa, Nathan and the rest of their crew make it look easy. Getting all the free boards they want doesn't hurt, and gives them the freedom most of us mortals will never have.

❤ im back, months later, even more impressed than before. and i thought my little sessions at skulls was tempting trouble. you guys are amazing. and i am very inspired by you and this, even though there is no way that kind of behavior suits me now, as it once did, especially after literally testing the water only to realize that things are far worse and restrictive for me than i had hoped, regarding physical condition. i wish so much i was not permanently damaged so that i could do that too, or even a fraction, maybe even distant close enough to you guys to get to see that in person. Its that kind of behavior that i was planning to ride the nathan florence pyzel pod racer on, with hopes that it could take the beating and not need constant repairs. but alas, after padding and tempting fate on a precious fiberglass 6'2" with near width and thickness, the 5'9" was simply likely too much a stretch. the pod racer 6'2" specs, especially width and thickness, were a solid though, and might have been just right. anyway, i would be lucky to be able to ride a supportive and long enough board, i cant body board due to need of spinal and full body extremity support and prevent whiplash), on my stomach, or to ride a longer (6'6" probably, not too long because it needs to fit in my car, maybe 6'0" if thick and wide enough, and probably full foam at this point) Waikiki style whereby i take a good drop and ride straight with the foam. even that, though, has yet to happen and seems distant. im stoked to see you guys charging so hard and going for broke. proud of you :) also, this is for sure one of, if not my very, which i think it actually is, favorite videos of yours :)
