This is a video of a segment aired on KOVR Channel 13 News with NSTA President Bob Farmer and NSTA Contact Person/Support Group Coordinator/Volunteer Jenine Flood-Ruetz. The segment also includes Movement Disorder Specialist Dr. Daniel D. Truong from the Truong Neuroscience Institute (www.truongneuroscience.com).
This was a part of the endeavors made by Bob with the help of friends of the NSTA like Jenine to help spread awareness of this orphan disease to the general public. We have come a long way since 2002 where people who experience first onset of spasmodic torticollis/cervical dystonia are diagnosed in a couple of weeks oppose to years. We are thankful to Bob, Jenine and others who have helped to make this condition more recognizable in the medical field and general population.
