I REALLY want to ship my NSX over and have a go. I've driven the 'ring a few times now in rented stuff and numerous other tracks with my NSX, but I'd love to close that loop some time. Thanks for posting essentially the perfect reference videos for that!.
Good driving! Thanks for sharing. I was surprised by much the car bottoms out - is it riding much lower than stock? Also I have to say that most of the drivers you encountered were very nice and safe - perhaps the Golf driver @ Metzgesfeld was a bit reluctant ;-)
Hi Frederik, how do you like the AD08R's, and how do you feel the car behaves with them at the limit ? See you at the NSXCE Tour if there is one in 2022 ;)
I've always liked the Advans, but to be honest, I don't really know. I usually don't care how a tyre behaves or feels, only about the lap time :P Having said that, they seem to stand up well to the heat and feels precise, yet forgiving at the limit. A bit noisy for road use, perhaps.
You could buy a nice NSX for the same price as an Exige S in 2010 - no hope of that now and sorry I went for the Exige instead. This video confirms it's not just hype around the NSX, looks like such an amazing car to drive (a little more laidback than the S2k). Great driving!
Best Motoring, one of the largest Japanese car magazines, acquired an NSX when it first came out. 7 years and 180k+ later, it had 12hp more than when they got it.
Everything about this video is just right. sidenote: On the Nordschleife its often better to leave the car in a higher gear and try to focus on carrying the momentum in my experience.
081588101 Yeah, I should probably have stayed in third more. But I was still getting used to the grip from the wide AD08Rs and was caught out by how much earlier I could floor it on exits. Need more laps in this car to get the maximum out of it. I think it will go well below 8 flat with no traffic.
