WarlordRising ...you'll never know how awesome it is to see you, and other assholes like you around the globe, compare everything your country has or does, with us Americans....we are literally your measure of greatness, and THATS HOW IT SHOULD BE CUZ WE RUN THIS PLANET....
I live in America and I have been watching Graham Norton show for four to five years now. IT IS AMAZING! I argue better than the American talk shows. Keep up the good work Graham! Sending you love from America!
"I feel like the BBC invited me to my own funeral. Turns out it was great. Will Smith and my mum were there." I have loved this man since I was 11 and he was on Channel 4. So proud of him. So happy I live in a world where he exists. Don't know how I could have got past my GCSEs, moved country, coped with family tragedy without him. He's not just a National Treasure either. The world is learning your name, Graham Norton, and I will wave your flag wherever I go.
Possibly the only person in the entertainment industry who can tell an entire audience of famous applauding people to sit down and they do because he's probably told all of them that on the show lol. So well deserved.
Graham is the best interviewer in the world. His guests are able to show us glimpses of who they actually are under his guidance. The guests flog their latest film or book or tour and then let loose and enjoy the night. Americans feel relaxed on the show because their appearance goes largely unnoticed back home. I can watch the entire show and wish for more. I only watch the first 15 or 20 minutes of talk shows here in the US because the guests are so often consumed by the studio's or publisher's talking points.
Sadly unnoticed back home - as it's a rare occasion where you get to see these hollywood celebs actually being challenged, and (often) being themselves. Graham brings that out, challenges them - in a non-threatening, fun way and makes everyone laugh - a rare gift, a rare talent, and a lovely man.
It's actually thanks to an Ofcom (the British TV watchdog) regulation that UK talk shows are very dissimilar to US talk shows in that you cannot advertise on British TV without declaring yourself as a marketer. US media has a path where X celebrity does something and then they tour the US or the globe marketing their latest movie or album, "plugging it" if you will, but you can't do that on British TV unless your show registers itself as a marketing show. If you appear on a non-marketing show you have to fulfil the requirements of a guest first and then maybe slip in a mention of your album/movie second, this is why the likes of Graham Norton, Jonathan Ross and so on just talk to guests and bring up embarrassing stories or anecdotes and then move on to what it is they do for a living, singing, acting, etc. Though to be honest, I'm a Brit, but even I have noticed that American TV seems to be going the same way as a lot of recent US talk show hosts now talk to guests rather than just plugging their products, i enjoy US talk shows now more than I did in the 80's or 90's, it's possibly due to the popularity of non-US shows showing that you don't have to be plugging a movie or album every 3 minutes because back in the 90's pretty much every single US talk show seemed like it existed solely to sell stuff. Now US talk shows seem to talk to the guest first and then plug whatever they are doing second. Letterman, as much as he is loved in the US, always seemed like a network stooge to me, every memory I have of catching his re-runs here in the UK always seemed to feature him holding up a DVD or CD to the camera and saying "Check out these fine young folks from [location], their Cd will be in stores come friday." David Letterman to me seemed like a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman. "Does your regular movie do this? Let me demonstrate this movie to you and then maybe you can make a purchase." *[David holds DVD up to Camera 1 for a close-up]*
Also, American talk show hosts need a sidekick to hide the fact that they really aren't that talented. (I'm American, btw) Jimmy Fallon is probably the most talented, meaning that he can sing and act, etc. But the others interrupt their guests constantly. I quit watching them.
The fact that he's so worried about not mentioning the people who helped him on the show is a real testament to his character. I'm a Canadian who loves Brits and the show. Congrats Graham.
One of the most likeable men in television. I don't know what the NTA is and I don't know how the awards are awarded, but I do know Graham Norton deserves recognition for his talents. He's an incredibly talented talk show host and interviewer and his show just brings joy to people. I'm happy he won!
Master Debater Britain's version of the Emmy's or Australia's Logies. Yes, they have the BAFTAs as well, but pretty sure this is just for television alone.
National Television Awards. Basically the Emmys, but with the exception of the Special Recognition award, all of the awards are voted for by the public.
He's not a national treasure, he's an international treasure! Let him host the Oscars! He is by far the best talk show host and the most underrated. Thank you for entertaining us!!
I have watched a lot of talk shows in my long days and without question, Graham Norton is the Best in the World, and that includes the Great Johnny Carson! I was fortunate to find Graham's show (I'm Canadian) many years ago when I went to visit my son who lives in Ireland. Graham has gotten me thru a lot of difficult times in my life because he has that special gift of not only lifting up the audiences, but also the entertainers. I don't know if I'll ever make it at this older age to see his show live, but man, would that be a gift! Thanks so much Graham.....a real Canadian Fan!!!
We have BBC Canada and I love shows like "Mrs. Browns Boys" , another show that I've been watching for years. The only problem was that they repeated the same shows over and over again but heh, I didn't care. British TV is the best in my humble opinion!
there is something truly special about his talk show, I always feel happy when I watch it and there's always laughter to be had - that is so rare these days when it comes to talk shows given how stale and scripted most are, but with Graham Norton, you just have fun, it really is like a big party - he truly is a treasure and so brilliant
This guy managed to reach the quality Letterman had set, and no one expected that day would come, when Graham developped so much quality for so long !!!
graham Norton is the best host ever.. and acknowledging everyone who's been there to helped him makes me even appreciate him even more... he deserves more awards...
I'm a relative newcomer to the GN Experience here in America, but I'm also a complete convert. He is truly the cure for the American talk show...well-deserved honor. Congratulations!
I can't think of anyone anymore deserving of this award. He is a rare rare type of comedian, a comedian who can make everyone laugh without hurting anyone else 🙌🏼 He manages to slightly embarrass people enough that they laugh without humiliating anyone💙 Love Graham so much and he is such a lovely chap!! He puts people at ease and can make even the most tired people laugh, his humility is so refreshing.
Graham is always there to pick me up when I'm down. When I need a laugh, I can always count on him to provide it. He/the show have helped me through some of the toughest times, and this was so well-deserved!! Thanks for everything, Graham! You've enriched more lives than you know!
I live in Canada and it's the ONLY show I constantly watch and haven't fallen out of love with nor will I. I'm waiting every Friday for a new episode. It's the best!
I grew up sneaking down the steps in my house just so I could hear Johnny Carson’s monologue. There has been a lot since Johnny. I stumbled upon Graham Norton. He fits the bill. He is entertaining. He is refreshing.
I live in Chile and I have been watching Graham Norton show for four years and he is amazing! So funny, naughty and original that I enjoy every second of it. The way that this show makes everyone so welcome and every star really have good time there, specially because Graham is a tremendous host! I love this show! 😍🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻😎
Look, I'm a straight 26 years old guy, but this just made me cry. I love Graham and his show and it is such a beautiful thing that his country treasures him like that. I'm always thinking about him, like his grand-grandfather had to be a leprechaun, because the way Graham is spreading good mood and happiness is like a magic. Magic sofa, haha. He definitely deserved it
you always know when you watch The Graham Norton Show you are always in for a good time. He makes me howl and laugh and forget my troubles. Well deserved thats for sure
I live in the foothills of Northern California. I starting watching Mr. Norton on video at You tube and he is the warmest, funniest person who treats his guests like long time friends. His guests are so comfortable on his show that we see parts of them you wouldn't normally see. Mr. Norton, you are a gem and a real sweetheart. Zillions of hugs.
Very much deserved. Graham is a rare breed of individual that makes you feel like you are with him as you watch him wherever you do. He effortlessly makes you laugh, and feel good while just being who he is...
Graham Norton IS the only person I watch for celeb interviews. He is the complete package and I look forward to another 20 laugh filled years watching him. ❤️
Number 1 talk show in the world... Just look at the range of people he brings in his show and how they feel so comfortable with him... Some of the names will be enough to say that how great he is- Robert Deniro hates talk show,he doesn't even like to talk much,he came to Graham's show 5 times maybe, Ben Affleck a very shy and quiet person,he came couple of times, Matt Damon said it was the best time he ever had in any talk show, Meryl Streep came couple of times, Tom Hanks is like a regular customer, Tom cruise who doesn't go to talk shows came here many times...the list goes on, even more American celebrities came here than British celebrities did and they all said He is the best...
I know there have been greats in the UK and US, but Graham Norton is in my opinion the greatest talk show host of all time. Every show makes you smile. Every single one.
There truly is NO ONE like Graham Norton, and our DULL AS DISHWATER talk shows could really buy a clue from him for that. Love watching his shows, they're always so interesting, FUNNY, insightful, weird, and unique. He really is a treasure.

Brought tears to my eyes, a well deserved award. I don't have TV but I make a point to watch his show each week one way or another. I love how he turns stiff guests into giggling messes, how well he handles all the different personalities and how much I laugh out loud without fail at every episode.
Simply love this man. Some of his shows like the one with Bonneville, Damon and Murray or Meryl Streeps first sit on his couch I watched about 30 times and it just doesnt get old. Amazing guy
