Lead investigator in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case Brigadier Bongani Gininda has vehemently denied that he offered accused 2 Bongani Ntanzi R3 million if he implicated the right people. Adv. Thulani Mngomezulu presented these claims before the court in today’s proceedings. Yesterday, the Pretoria High Court heard explosive evidence naming singer Kelly Khumalo as the person who ordered the hit on Meyiwa. Legal expert Melusi Xulu weighs in.

I see Tefo-light in Mgomezulu, his modus operandi seems to be throwing a tapestry of serious unsubstantiated allegations that serve no legal or factual purpose in the quest of acquitting the accused, such allegations without any evidentiary backing can be dangerously defamatory and libelous, I was loathe to castigate the advocate for his inelegant presentation and questioning but it is apparent that his shaky command of the law precedes his ineloquency.
