I gasped when I saw the title 😱 To become a professor is a dream of mine but your reasoning and plans are solid. The more experienced our educators are, the better prepared the students will be. Good luck with it all!! Thank you for always thinking about the students, whether they are yours at NTNU or across the world on RU-vid 😊
Thank you for such kind words. I will keep producing videos on RU-vid. I have a lot to share about my experience and knowledge about PhD, and will be able to provide even more useful job-related content.
It's a wonderful decision. It pays well too ... Ultimately people work for money - labour in exchange for capital. U can always get back to academia. Best of luck and lots of positivity for this new turn in your journey !! Please do keep doing your live sessions. Lots of love
Very emotional video, but I love it. Best of luck Ivanna. Your videos have been really educative and encouraging. Please don't stop sharing your story. God bless you

Hai madam Ivanna's Associate professor. I got a LOT'S of information about Norway jobs and culture. your vlogs are so nice. University is so nice. Pls continue your vlogs about Norway.
Love watching your videos, refreshingly innocent. Good for you for breaking away from the university to become a better overall person, kudos, not many people have the nerve. As I continue to watch your videos I’m sure I’ll find out what you teach. Peace be you and safe blessings for your family, keep the faith and keep up the good work 🙌👍🏻

Admirable is the level your honesty and connectedness to yourself. Very brave dicision and indeed will pay off. Will keep following you up. Best wishes!
Thank you for such kind words. I have spent many years with a focus on self-development and better understanding of myself and others. Sometimes we need to take a risk in order to keep development both professionally and personally.
Best wishes for you and your career. That's a brave decision, totally agree with the way you're thinking. To build a professionals, the lecturer should gather experience in industry first, then going to the academic. Don't stop making videos pls, your content is the best for grow our mindset. 😎😎
I watched the video and felt so emotional when you shared with us where you studied, worked, and defensed your PhD. 8 years is nearly like a decade... I wish you best of luck with your new career path :). My dream to go to Norway is not easy to get, but hopefully one day I can go settle down there in academia...
Wow.... what an inspiring and thought-provoking explanation you have. Still, I became so sad for you while watching the intimacy you have with NTNU premises
Hi Ivanna! Im so happy I’ve discovered your channel. I’m trying to move to Norway, is there any chance I could contact you with some personal questions? I would be super grateful if you could share a few insights in regards to what worries me. Thank you so much in advance, - Rose.
Hello it's ok ..it's part of life but you don't feel sad..I hope so it's batter for your future......but honestly I have blues for your decision....but I'm delighted to look like too much confedance with your decision...
Dear Ivanna, I want to join NTNU as a research scholar (PhD) for Trustworthy AI,I have completed my MTech in Nanotechnology but very much interested in Data Science and AI .What kind of challenges I will have to face to get PhD ?I am starting from scratch.
I would go into PhD with topic about application of AI in Nanotechnology. Thus, the domain is known to you and you would have enough time to learn and improve your data science skills
I want to do a phd in Norway. They say that we must look at the positions at the web sites. But here, there is a problem, a student might have a different research question that they aim to write. What happens if a student wants to do an independent research ? is there any alternative way to find funding for Phd ?
Not any that I am aware of in Norway. You probably should check other countries. In Norway, PhD is a part of a project or department, so there are limitations in topics and ideas you can go for.
No. Accommodation for rent is provided to bachelor and master students, but usually there is limited number of rooms available and many students rent room as anyone else would do it. PhDs, post-docs or other faculty members are renting/owning accommodation themselves.
Mam iama indian citizen. Iwant job in agricluture field in Norway. How can apply. Now iam working in qatar babbie sitting job . Iam only 10th pass. Iam speeking English littely.
Always making interesting and wonderful videos, love them all How can a masters student apply abroad with no publications for a research internship? Should he/she first try for a publication and then apply? What would you recommend?
Thank you. To best of my knowledge, I haven't seen a research internship positions in the Norwegian universities. If they are, they are internally listed to the students in that university. Otherwise, if you have possibilities to apply for such positions, you need to focus on the requirements listed in the vacancy. Since you will be working with a specific professor, and each professor can have his/her own requirements. So publication are not important in this case. If you want to become a PhD, then here is a tip: While being a master student, you can ask your professors whether they are interested writing an article with you.
