Bundibugyo district lies on one of the escarpments of Mount Rwenzori. Originally known for the famous semuliki hot-springs, the district has in the recent past been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons most notably during the ADF insurgency and the Ebola outbreak. But such concerns are now only a distant memory as the district is slowly but surely regaining its former glory by embracing the path of development.
