My divorce has cost me my youngest (long story that I won't get into now) but all I can do is work on the relationship with my oldest & wait for my youngest to be ready & be there if she ever needs me. I've let her know that yes I made my mistakes & tried to fix them as best I could & let her know that I will always love her & be there & if she ever needs me - I'm there. But you've got to be honest with kids. They know more & see more than you think. Especially in this day & age - they have to grow up way too fast!
