The thing is, if Twork would have never choked in his last two battles he would have never considered going after Snake or his belt. This battle is a favor from both Snake and Surf, yet Twork thinks he talk his way into a #1 contender spot when Snake already gave his word and is contractually obligated to Cortez and the league. Fact still remains that Snake was the FIRST and is currently the ONLY title holder to put his belt up for a defense immediately after winning it. I respect the play from Twork, but you don't get to choke your last four rounds and think you can jump the line for the belt when you wouldn't have wanted the belt otherwise. That would cheapen the integrity of the belt and I'm glad Snake ain't go for it. If Twork beats Snake, only then should they consider rematching for the belt. The battle is a FAVOR, making it a title match would only reward Twork's negative behavior, something the culture has been doing since his Dougy battle. Salute to both though. I like how Snake is moving with the belt and I look forward to his first title defense against Cortez, someone who is absolutely deserving of a shot. Put some respect on Tez name.
Well said bro, and when we say rewarding Twerk it doesn’t mean we automatically think he’s gonna win; it just means you don’t get to choke constantly and jump back to the #1 contending spot. To be honest Twerk is lucky to even get a midnight madness shot vs a current title holder even though it’s not for the belt. Twerk needs at least 3 clean battles before he returns to the URL stage, but absolutely no shot at the belt coming off of consistently subpar performances respectfully‼️
