@Moofie-rc5dd Hell nah. Lebron would be the cheat code against minny. They're good defensively but not strong enough to stay in front of the train. Plus AD dominates Gobert/ towns. Not saying lakers win the series. But they for sure don't get swept. It's a game of match ups.
I agree management has been bad . They can use better bigs around AD, but they had other bigs but decided not to use them. Darvin would rather use 3 guards while he had Hayes Giles Castleton and Woods for last 2 games. It's more about a coach that can use the roster properly
The difference is the Timberwolves defense, they contest every Nuggets shots... they don't stand flat footed and watch the Nuggets take their shots. That's how the Lakers should be playing defense.
@@wills.9422 well dlo can't take all the fuckin blame... Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura weren't exactly burning up the net either so stop blaming D'LO, I know he didn't step up in the playoffs, but so as every other MFS not named AD and LeBron!
You still don't understand it? We played everyone we had to try and get a stop on the perimeter, but nobody could. Rui lacks foot speed. Prince is only slightly faster, but can't get over a screen either. We defaulted to guys that at least theoretically should be able to contest other players on the perimeter. That's what happens when you think Vanderbilt, Rui, Wood, Castleton, Hayes and Giles give you size and athleticism and you safely make the playoffs without a single actual 2-way player much less a wing on the roster. Go find us the new 8 mpg big cheerleader that can cheer so hard on the bench that he bothers Jokic on the floor. 😂 We went from Bradley, Caruso, KCP and DG to Wes Matthews, Austin Reaves, DJ Augustin, Malik Monk, Lonnie Walker and finally Cam Reddish and Max Christie. Without getting Dinwiddie we aren't even making the playoffs. Meanwhile OGA and Caruso were available, but you all rather wanted to get rid off a safe ball handler that shoots 43% from deep, because he is not a shot creator for himself or point of attack defender and you guys are still looking for a center to pair AD with, when no center will move AD to the 4 as long as that is where LeBron wants to play. LA always just needed to replace DG, Caruso, KCP and AB way before you need to replace McGee and Howard, because LeBron is not playing SF ever again. He wants to play 36 minutes at PF. LA screwed up the roster build worse every year. And I guarantee you that if you guys get your wish of a big old school bruiser, who can't stay on the floor and is walking switch target all game long, we will have big trouble even getting into the play-in yet again. Especially if D'Lo walks and LA gets the 530th best defender in Tyus Jones to start. And you thought Russell was bad ranked around 125th? Just wait until you see Jones and Reaves with the next André Drummond. It was always the lack of 2-way guys that hurt LA the most.
We offered Naz our full 12 million exception but he resigned a 2 year deal with the Wolves at 14 million a year so he was out of our price range unfortunately. Then we pivoted to Gabe for 10 million
I'm so tired of hearing JJ Reddick having a smart basketball mind. I remember hearing Luke Walton had a smart basketball mind, and he blew away the Lakers in his interview. We saw how that went.
@herusun3654 Luke Walton went to Arizona. Was he the leading scorer, no, but he does have some NBA rings. Does JJ. Yes, he was a better college player, and he was able to score in the NBA, but you definitely can't say JJ had a better pro career. Being a great college player doesn't mean he'll be a great coach. I think JJ definitely knows basketball, Magic knew basketball too, and how was he as a coach. What about Bryan Scott. Being a good college or pro may not translate into coaching.
The Denver Nuggets had no real bench production. Unlike last season with Bruce Brown and Reggie Jackson playing well. It wasn't fatal vs. the equally bench production challenged Lakers. But it was fatal against the Timberwolves.
Mike malone pulled off his best darvin ham impersonation in the second half. Stopped running any sort of organised offence and relied way too much on jokic post ups and 3 pt shots 💀 denver caught their karma. Who’s you’re daddy now?🤣🤣
So their problems are literally everyone? Who else is left, the fans? Haha. The management, gm, coach, and players is the entire franchise except maybe ownership lol
Well, Karma got them for saying that they are he Lakers Daddy. Now, the Timberwolves are the legal parents of the Nuggets. As they said when they beat the Lakers, " Take that in your pipe and smoke it".
That 3rd period stretch for DEN offensively shooting reminded me of us. Too bad we didn’t get that type of play from DEN. Had it been us Jokic would’ve went 8-10 from deep and MPJ 5-5. Smh
It is evident that the Lakers need younger 3d players (offensive and defensive- minded) willing to hustle and get on the floor. Similar to some of the more progressive players on the current winning playoff teams.
Why, why Lakers? 😭 Why hire JJ Redick? No coaching experience, let alone head coaching experience. Noooo, Lakers, don't do it! Look, I like Redick. He may make a fine coach; but not here, not now. The Lakers' window of opportunity is too small to squeeze a rookie head-coach through. I don't understand the necessity of the gamble. Under Darvin Ham, the Lakers showed potential for deep playoff runs if not championships; and that with a coach who apparently worked banker's hours, was unknowledgeable, inflexible, without feel for the flow of the game, and had lost the confidence of the players. It would be nice, but the team doesn't have to find a Pat Riley. A Frank Vogel will do, meaning a coach with experience who is a known commodity. Please, don't leave Laker fans hanging another year on "what if". Let's get a veteran coach and see what this team that Rob Pelinka gave extended minutes in a press conference can do.
Very frustrating as a Lebron fan to see how lakers management had this formula that the wolves use (huge defensive roster and lineups with multiple bigs) and won a title with it, then systematically built a non defensive non athletic small lineup every sense !!
After last night's TWolves win, I'd wait to interview Micah Nori before going all in on JJ. No offense to JJ, but Nori is coaching championship ball right now. At least interview him.
Lakers softened up Nuggets for the Wolves 😂 in all seriousness though it was gratifying asf to see malone and murray's front running shut down. Hell of a win by Minnesota 👏
I kind of want to see a newly minted NBA Champion, namely, the T’Wolves before the Pacers. But I think Dallas will win it all. The Lakers should take note and find another big who knows and plays his role well alongside AD. It was like that in 2020 with Dwight. Hayes doesn’t play well alongside.
Predicted this at the beginning of the year. I knew Denver wasn't making the finals and I knew the TWolves were their worst matchup. The Nuggets should blame the Spurs for causing them to play the TWolves lol
@@kaferrat Actually I predicted the Lakers would lose in 5, but the mind wanted them to win, the heart knew they'll lose lol. They will definitely be better next season.
@@jerry_fishguy Actually I told someone else to bet, I usually don't gamble lol. It's the same when people thought Miami wouldn't beat the Celtics with Butler the first time 😂
@@smoothoperator3739 I wouldn't hold your breath on them being much better. 😑😂The aging Queen & AD will be a year older. They got lucky this season to be pretty much injury free...but they're playing in the Olympics this Summer...so that's added wear & tear. Who knows how their health will hold out next season. New coach is a gamble...roster is still trash. 😅Not much money to get any good additions. Lakers will be trash for the forseable future.🤣
I've got three words for Mikey Boy and the Chicken Nuggets.... "WHO'S YOUR DADDY!?!" haha. OMG today was a rollercoaster. Watching the Injury-ridden Knicks lose, then right back to uber happy seein the $hitNuggets go down! Now we just gotta steal that mvp off the Joker and give it to the rightful MVP winner this season SGA! What a RIP that was. Gonna be an awesome series between the Mavs and the Wolves, and am hoping whoever wins that can knock off the Green Beans if the Pacers don't do it first!
Trevor your introduction could not have been more correct. "Our Hopes and Dreams!!" Come on Pacers you can whoop that Celtics A**!! as James Worthy loves to say 🤣💜💛
I remember trevor saying you wan't to avoid denver hope someone else knocks them out. what would lakers chances where against the wolves assuming they would beat the thunder first and dallas second round?
Lakers would have had little to zero chance against the Wolves, or the Thunder or the Mavericks for that matter. Lets not delude ourselves, we are far from contending...
It's not just that they got elimimated....they did it giving them a taste of their own medicine. Up 30 points in 3rd quarter and they're prib thinking we got this and suddenly tables turn. Just like they stole 2 games from the lakers when we thought we had the him. Haha, very satisfying seeing them get eliminated in this fashion
It doesn't matter who the coach is because, anyway, Rob Pelinka can't form a good team that can do well. With just two guys taking $100 million, what kind of a team can the Lakers form?
We can use a better roster, but a decent/good coach is very important. We could have been more successful the last 2 years with a good coach despite not having the best roster
Lebron is still playing at a high level but nobody can’t argue that his leadership hasn’t been there since we won the championship in the bubble…we won’t win another championship until he leads this team!
I’m gonna keep this comment on repeat. If we take our lakers playoff team, add Vando and a rebounding/defensive big and we would’ve been playing in that game last night
Stop smoking that stuff lol... The guy avaraged tripple double and almost every game he god 30+ points , you can say the team choked but saying Jokic just to glaze Shaq is funny lol...
When your toad looking coach wants to act like he's everybody's daddy. When he thinks everyone should be talking about your team like they do the lakers and the warriors because you had the best regular season record and won one NBA title.
If pacers win it, that in season tournament championship is looking better and better. Lakers won the ist against the soon to be champs and lost to the defending champs. Got rid of ham. Great season. 👍
If LA makes any moves then I think they should go after DMitchell. If they cant get him then dont make any bad trades for draft picks. Just build through the draft.
