@@krish3396 of course. life’s about learning and spreading your love and knowledge to other people. life’s super hard but if it was easy we wouldn’t care about it as much as we do. there’s beauty in struggle you just gotta change perspectives. mad luv to you and everyone out here who still loves seba jun
This song feels like an artifact from a past life, and uncovering it on RU-vid today was meant to evoke nostalgia of someone or something important from back then.
@@Tiobranlotin This girl is a metaphor for music. Shing is expressing his profound love for mu(sic), hence the name Luv (Sic). Whenever he listens to music, “she” makes his day With that in mind, the “metaphorical girl” can be a nod to Nujabes' first album, “metaphorical music”
Perfect ending to a perfect album, I literally got chills when I heard the chorus and how Shing02 is clearly talking about finishing his project with Nujabes after he passed, this is a level of beauty and meaning I never thought I would see on a song before.
This is such a bitter/sweet song. Life has been really bitter to me these past number of years so this song tastes really sweet right now. I wonder what he's up to in heaven.
After Seba Jun passed, his manager found this melody in his phone. Parts 4-6 are basically dedicated towards Seba and Shing02s friend (I believe), Jeff Resurrection. Parts 1-6 will forever be at the top of my list
i listened to the Hexalogy album yestreday, i was blasting it because i was told this is his best album. i was reluctant to listen to this since i didn't really like Modal Soul a couple years back except for Feather, when i'd heard this i was blown away by every single song and remix, i then went back to Modal Soul and realized how tone deaf i was. Ordinary Joe is now one of my favorite singing tracks of all time now and i listened to his 2 other albums, i now realized that he hasn't made a single bad song, the worst of his music is just Lo-Fi BGM, and that's only about 10 of his songs. now i'm officially a Nujabes fanboy
Kinda similar with me. I got into old school hiphop, started really liking more jazzy beats like The World Is Yours by Nas, or I Get Around by Pac. Then I started listening to Laufey (A bossa nova artist), which led me to listening to bossa nova. Bossa nova is a mix of samba and jazz(which i didn't know at the time) which led to to listening to samba, then a subgenre of jazz. (a fav of mine is Jazz It Up by Richard Myhill) Then I found out about the jazzhop subgenre(late as hell, i know) And almost a year ago my friend told me about Lady Brown by Nujabes, and now im addicted to his whole discography.
I met a metaphorical girl in a metaphysical world Now you got me day dreaming, sleeping in a curl Her name on my tongue, a fresh flavor, yup Whenever she popped up, put a swirl on my cone I used to rap like I had some marbles in my mouth But the stones turned precious when they all came out On a string of deep thought that could never be bought Body rock don’t stop, be bop to hip hop Cold as ice so I stared as it thawed to the floor What was left a shoestring budget on call Then these new styles came along Some on to the next on some other hit, their own trip Colors faded on airbrushed centerfolds, dated Make you feel old and jaded The point was to make it and we made it but We didn’t know how to keep it Like nice kicks. that wouldn’t fit Only way was to box it up and duct tape it up Store it underneath the bed and open it up Once in a blue moon Think about a cool ending To a story that ended too soon Gotta bring back the feeling I’ll do anything not to be stuck on fiending A pen can be sharper than a scalpel to a patient To an open heart, it’s a daily operation After six come seven and eight Access code to the pearly gates They say heaven can wait And you speak of fate A finale to a play for my mate I see the angels draw the drapes Over the earthscape Where the wine is the spirit of grapes Gotta finish what we started, so I cut the tape As our records will stay on rotate You say a circle is a flawless shape Every part equi-distance from the center On the arc without a start or a finish A line on a loop carries weight A freight train runs unabated Views vanish from my point vantage Passages come in and out The way I recall your antics (how I remember your antics) Still alive ’cause I said it A life of its own unless we dead it Till they see our name in credits A labor of love you mean slavery Surely, it’s been quite savory Crepe on the balcony, verbal alchemy Pure magic when she touches me I read that love is kind but it’s also blind of any style You profess, would you be my guest (you could be my guest) Happiness is a hot potato that you can’t possess for long Just pass it on like asong And I might look calm and collected at a glance But I taste the void when I’m not connected To the world kinetic, as opposed to static Idle hands a workshop of a digital addict (a modern-day addict) On a hot streak for inspiration is key to feed The mind in need of stimulation Elevator music to the space station Penthouse of stars a-blazing After six come seven and eight Access code to the pearly gates They say heaven can wait And you speak of fate A finale to a play for my mate I see the angels draw the drapes Over the earthscape Where the wine is the spirit of grapes Gotta finish what we started, so I cut this tape As our records will stay on rotate
It really is a beautiful song. Reading the lyrics made me tear up a few times especially the chorus.. Shing02 and Nujabes gave us timeless masterpieces! RIP brother
in my sophomore year, my art teacher would put music while we worked and some of the songs were pretty good. this one in particular stuck with me for a couple days and now serves a time machine to the early days of my sophomore year. p.s. I’m recently graduated too
I'd shared this song to her to listen. She told me this song has a beautiful melody. She didn't know that I just want to say: "I love you, since the very first time."
If there's that I could summarize this whole saga.. it could be like this: Luv(sic) Hexalogy is a story of not only falling in love, but also forgetting about life itself because of it (hence "Lovesick" = "Luv(sic)"), sugarcoating it during Parts 1 to 2, when it comes to the beats, Part 3 and beyond feels like a signal that something worse is looming around the corner. Part 5 is like a sorrow, losing your significant other, and feeling empty, with a "I don't want to live anymore" expression. And here, Grand Finale is realization, a reflection, a way to express that you overcome the pain, you understand that nothing lasts forever, and that you are willing to move forward and remember that is not about loving someone, but also, loving yourself. Shingo, I appretiate the words you put into these works and the imagination I could run of with them, and Jun, your skills as a producer are an inspiration for me and for everyone, I hope your enjoying your place in Heaven, you deserve it.
Este es la melodia encontrada en su celular en el celular de nujabes despues de morir. Increible que aun despues de muerto escuchamos algo que dejo aun despues. Eso es tracender
Nujabes is gone r.i.p so I don’t know if this is being released without his permission but it sounds old because of his strong accent I don’t hear that in his more recent songs BUT STILL THIS IS FIRE :O
I hope one day they actually release this entire hexology on vinyl and not just cd. It's a mighty need for my collection but everything separate is so expensive
honestly this song sounds like what acceptance feels like when you are grieving. realizing that they are in a better place and you learn to cherish the memories you've had with a lost love one. learning to be happy that you where able to experience their love and presence. R.I.P nujabes you have created a true masterpiece.
Forever loved I’m a seventeen year old and I found nujabes when I was eight from my dad an cousins . Still think this is the best music I’ve ever heard till the day 💫
Omg.. going through to Luv Sic saga now....... this is such a final level beat.... the rap is perfect for it too...... but bruh.... last song?........ perfection.
I’m so god damned pissed off that this god of a man is dead. Honestly fuck, I would give my life to resurrect this man. I know he can make people happy.
