Fun fact: when you go into replay, and go to free camera you can zoom into the tank and it actually has a interior and you can see shell shrapnel going through it
@@ADRIAAN1007 Most vehicles can survive the nuclear blast. It's the fact they end up flipping that's the issue. The Obj 279 was designed to not be flipped by large explosions, and if flipped, be able to right without heavy lift equipment.
@@Happynesses did the historical tu4 carry nukes??? Even if they didn't, I don't recall them carrying a 5 t bomb (max individual bomb they could carry was a 3 tonner)
And after seeing the 3rd and 2nd sun for even a mini second, the person will suffer from radiation poisiong, blindness and all kinds of other good things that's happens when you see a nuclear explosion without protection
@@nickkurzy2246 "bit of a spoiler" that happened to me yesterday while in my Panther 2....it......it is.....hard on the heart..... 1st u hear the wailing of the air raid siren from the moment (id assume from the time some1 gets the plane to drop the bomb) & it feels like forever hearing the siren & everyone is either unsure of what to do, just sitting & watching, running 2 hid(u should see it...quite a sight) or Jing out 2 get in a plane 2 watch from where they may feel it is safe (fun-fact: it isn't safe up there either). Either some1 rly dislikes u or fate chose it to land next 2u & there is nothing u can do but look @ it & wait....(if u have a good & bright screen.....don't look @ it while it goes of......just close ur eyes & turn the volume down r u will go deff...& the after effects of the ringing & cracking effect are long afterward....even in garage & if you go in2 match immediately afterward.
Pretty sure the team kills don’t count because it’s a nuke. No shit there’s gonna be team kill cuz it’s a damn nuke, and the point of the nuke is a last minute clutch kinda thing. That’s how I think of it at least even tho it’s not really a clutch. But yeah I’ve seen multiple war thunder nuke videos and I’ve even dropped one before at an old friends house, and he never got banned even tho he used it as a last resource to winning all the time.
@@Dathkami There are some mission profiles for which the device would be set to detonate at zero altitude, for targets such as hardened underground bunkers or something like the Nazi U-boat pens on the French Atlantic coast. But for most, yes it would be an airburst, particularly over a battlefield area, fused to detonate at between 500-1800 feet to maximise blast damage over a wide radius from ground zero.
@@LordZontar nukes at 0 altitude are dirty bombs that leave radiation on the ground for decades. Bunker busters are usually conventional non nukes or Thermobaric with a hardened nose.
@@Dathkami Um no. Dirty bombs are conventional bombs salted with radioactive materials. Nuclear warheads detonated at zero altitude are targeted as silo-busting weapons to destroy ICBM launching sites or deep underground C&C facilities such as NORAD Cheyanne Mountain.
Not perfect but still one of the best nuke animations I have seen in a video game. Minor quibbles - a) The bomb looks like the US Mark VI, right down to the colour scheme, this version was introduced in 1951 and served until 1962 which means that it is unlikely to have been carried by a B-29 but more likely by a B-36 or B-47. The B-29 would have carried the earlier Fat Man (Mark I) or Mark IV versions, which were much shorter and stubbier. b) IIRC the SIlverplate version of the B-29 had to have a cutaway bomb bay in order to fit the Fat Man and Mark IV bombs, some of the bomb should thus be visible even when the bomb bay doors are shut. c) Finally, nukes (especially the early ones) are very complex and delicate devices so there is almost no way that the bomb would be fuzed for a delayed surface burst - even a modern "surface burst" is basically detonated just before impact. Also, in any event many more casualties could be caused by detonating at altitude, for a 20-30kt nuke such as the Mark VI a reasonable height would have been around 2000 feet (the ~20kt bomb dropped on Nagasaki was detonated at around 1650 feet). The animation does a fair representation of the above nuke, if you want to see what would happen if this bomb was dropped at the above location (ie just west of Colleville sur Mere in Normandy) then I highly recommend you check out this site nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap/ If you type in surface burst, 20 kilotonnes and check for expected casualties you will see that the average expected deaths is less than one thousand people which is pretty amazing but do remember that most of the are is farmland so the only people really at risk would be the inhabitants of the nearby villages, and of course local combatants. Cool video, thanks for sharing !
Жаль, что они до сих пор не добавили бомбы-тыквы (та же самая бомба, но фугасная) B-29 мог нести 2 такие.. Был бы своего рода высокого ранга Пе-8 с 2 большими хлопушками💥
I almost got my first nuke yesterday...very sad to just spawn into the Canberra before we win the match. Still a great experience, maybe one day i will have the chance to drop it😄😅
