I just got this today, I like the separate play button. Now i'm gonna insert the serato disc, and see serato for the first time.

hit that lil eject button. I had a similar problem, and when i hit eject the tracks switched back to normal. Also make sure your configuration is correct- Deck A (channel 1 and 2) Deck B (channel 3 and 4). Hope that helps, it helped with me.

Question. When using my Numark mix deck quad mixer. I can't hear out of the headphones for cue or music. How do you fix it

Yo man...I got respect for you and all..appreciate the review...The sickest dj's the world are creative. Doesn't matter the equipment they have (obviously you want the best) they drop a party like no other. I've seen fools DJ parties with four iPods...it was the most amazing mix I've heard on the fly. Calling this device "intermediate to beginner" hardware is just not accurate . I'll throw that challenge out to you...four iPods...Mix it up.

Yes, the channels on the Quad ARE MIDI mappable, but you can only map 2 channels and not all 4...

most stand alone units won't have a sync button, because it isnt just a midi controller it won't have one, im thinking of jumping from a mixtrack pro to mixdeck quad because i think i have outdated the mixtrack, but as you will find unless it is a fully fledged midi controller it won't have a sync button,you should really need it either,just set the BPM and count to 4,fairly straight forward

oh wow thanks for the quick reply!!!... but if I'm just using those two decks how do I need to need to set up the channels to actually hear the second song i'm mixing with? (i'm a beginner sorry) only time i can hear both songs is on the head phones. Or is that what you're saying that the headphone cue and deck A is the only thing I can use with the Serato Dj Inro?

THERES NO "STRIP SEARCH" FOR FAST CUEING OF TRACK ( this is important eg..N6 has it and Pioneer CDJ NEXUS ) that means you still rely on the MOUSE

As always kareem your reviews are really good and spot on. Definitely like your style. I'm wondering have you used the 2-channel mixdeck yet? If so how do you feel the cd player platters (2-channel mixdeck vs quad mixdeck) compare as far as sensitivity and resolution? Do you think they are about the same or is the quad better?

Looks like there's no sync button for this unit? Is there an alternative button to mapped with the controller such as holding one button down for another function?

Hey Kareem, I don't have a computer yet, so I will be using the unit for CD playback, but I'm not getting any meter level readings on either side on setup. The only connections needed in the back are the XLR connections to my powered speakers, correct?

1 more question: I bought the adaptors. The speakers are connected to the master line. RCA to master audio. The speakers are Logitech, with subwoofer, I assume they are pre-amplified. So..I get no sound at all...the leds are also not moving, meaning that the sound doesnt even arrive? I am lost. Thank you.

Hi Kareem, I have purchase the Mixdeck quad to compliment my s4 as back up for longer than 5hr gig but I have problem with play button slurs at the of the track on both cd decks have you come across this and if so do have recommend solution so it plays with a slurr as the cue button plays the track without slurr ... could please advise. Is it true that the usb flasdrive part can only run 2gb. It doesn't read more than that.

Is the mixer in the Mixdeck quad midi mappable? I know the mixer in the original mixdeck was not, which was a major turnoff for me since I prefer to use virtual DJ for my software

I thought the unit only had 2 text lines on the display, so that's why I ask. And I have an older Numark player, and it only let's you read the title of the track while browsing... How could I find out with certainty? This model is not on local stores unfortunately...

...That's because u will need an upgrade to full serato otherwise straight out of the box with serato intro u can only have two decks available

....Cont, I need both of these buttons to use the Djay app, But i suppose i could always just use Both of these buttons that are on the DJay itself, if i absolutely have no other choice. So i say all this to ask you a few questions. 1- is there a sync button on the unit? 2-is there a return- to que button, or dose that "Cue" button on the unit function as both set-que and return to que? ..and lastly If you pop in a Cd, Could you control the Cd on the Djay app?? Hey my question on the mixdeck quad when your using the serato or vdj there a sync button on the software but on the deck i don't see one.I usually play in the clubs and need sometimes the sync button.I'm playing house music so that's the reason why i ask.For all others songs I scratch and blend I know how to do but house music i rather use the sync.Can you help please

Hi Kareem, looking at getting one of these for smaller gigs, one question - can you play a cd on the left deck followed by a track from your lap top on the right deck, and swap this type of playback during your evening? So in other words can you swap between cd and lap top (controller) modes at will? I only ask this as the Gemini equivalent does not do this, it is cd/usb OR controller mode only, not a combination of the three media types, I had the Pioneer XDJ R1 but this was to unreliable, cheers!

I connected it to the Master, next to the booth connection. Not Deck1 out, I believe that is wrong (I tried it anyways). I switched all switches, in CD mode. Nothing moves. Leds lights are off, the sound doesnt come out. I plugged in the headphones, which are also mute. I guess I'll need to buy a small amp and 2 new speakers. Do you agree? Thanks, always!

in my opinion sync is good for making bootlegs and mash ups or for using a 4 deck set up. in reality though the sync button is pretty much a djs panic button.

Hi I am having an extremely hard time getting this system to work. This is my first system and I can't seem to connect this to my speakers.. My speakers are KRK powered 5 g3's and I bought some CBI LowZ Microphone Cable with Neutrik Connectors for these to connect to my numark mixdeck quad to these speakers. First off, I dont plan to play with a laptop so I was wondering if serato DJ intro is even necessary for me? I only want to use USB and CD'S. Second, I connect my speakers with those cables onto my system and then plug in my USB but no sound is there... on one side of the system it says "PWR ON DEMO" the other side shows that the music in my usb is playing yet I hear nothing.. Is this the problem with a speaker?

When I saw this Video you stated that "its one to one" scratching. Please tell me how great and accurate are those platters.
