The one thing this video has not mentioned is that the controller comes with Serato DJ Lite. That means you will have to purchase a subscription to DJ Pro. Numark either assumes the DJs who buy this already have DJ Pro or they want you to spend more money. Which is not good for a DJ who wants to level up but doesn't want to break the bank. Numark should have done was to make this 4 channel unlock Serato DJ Pro at no extra charge. I would have jumped and purchased it myself so I can learn Serato. You have a pro controller with entry-level DJ software. That makes no sense to me.
HELP NEEDED: Is there any reason why the sync button doesn’t work on some tracks? I also noticed that some tracks slow right down when I press the sync button! For example. The track playing on deck one is 138bpm However, when I start to sync track two on deck two, the bpm drop to 98. And I have no idea how to correct this.
The FX triggers are pretty tricky,they should have a LED on the top of the trigger blinking when activated!Its easy to forget it On without noticing it! The white LED lights on Pads,was a really bad idea!Makes hard to see playing outside with sun light!
Hey Guys! Thanks for the intro video. But I am missing on the NS4FX any 'back' button while navigating throught my files. Pushing the 'browse' button makes me go forward. But how to go back? Maybe I missed something. Thanks in advance! (Using Serato DJ Pro)
Almost happy with controller. However as a live DJ that uses a mic, very disappointed with the distortion with mic. I have adjusted all levels and sampled various microphones with no improvement. I have put my gigs on hold until I come up with a solution. Cheers DJ Wayne
The thing that perhaps is a deal breaker for me is that the 6 effects buttons cannot be mapped to the 6 effects slots in Serato. On the hardware you are limited to only the 6 effects listed on the unit! A lot of people have bought the Serato FX expansion packs. Like I use version echo a lot. Why not make the 6 buttons mappable to the software slots? What a waste.
It seems I've got samples loaded and although there's nothing in my serato banks, I can't delete them from activating on the controller when in sample mode? Please help I've been tearing my hair out!
hi it cannot connect to my serato dj software why is that both lite and pro but it works perfectly with virtual dj what could be the problem.. it Serato dj does not detect it at all
Also, some people have complained about the sound quality when you run a mic through the unit. Any plans for a firmware upgrade or anything to fix that?
I'm trying to loop manually like I could on the MixTrack Pro. Is this possible as I can't figure out how to do it on the NS4FX which is important to me for those Short Intro's I want to loop on the fly
@@NumarkVideo I just tried it. Its a bit complicated as a dedicated manual means you only need one hand. Its gonna take some getting used to. On the mixtrack pro. Its just there. I can't understand why it wasn't included on the NS4 FX
Hasn't the NS4FX been discontinued since 2017? What's up with that. It seems like the best affordable controller. I wonder why it was scrapped by Numark?
Why are so many things missing from the manual?? In Pitch Play, you should be able to shift the tonal range of the pads up or down. Then manual talks about "Pressing Parameter left & right". There is nothing on the controller marked "parameter" and I tried both the two buttons under the loop button and also the pitch bend buttons while holding down the shift key and neither worked to shift the notes of the pads.
I just bought this controller as an upgrade to my Platinum FX. But, I’m very disappointed with the sound meter LEDs. They do not monitor the loudness of each channel! Both LEDs always mirror each other. Why even have 2 of them? So the meter LEDs only show how loud the music is WHILE it’s playing through the main output. Not very useful. Very close to being a deal breaker for me. Glad I kept the box and the receipt.
bring back the ns7 with bigger platters, and one screen, and multiple slip mats or a way to adjust the tension of the spin. The other units just aren't doing it for me.
Thank you for your answer In the sample section in serato, you can set the output volume of which channel you want to use from the slider (for example, I can turn down the sample sound from the slider of channel number 3). i saw it today too
Serato specs also have 2 parameters for the Splicer: the amount of beats the slicer takes up and the beat fraction of the rolls. There does not seem to be any way to access these either. I wrote customer service and they never wrote me back. Does this controller not have any way of accessing Serato parameters or does nobody at the company know how? Why is this important information not included in the manual?
when is a non gimmicky professional controller coming out current range is all low price gimmicky mixers aimed more at toys r us than a dj equipment store. Charge a bit more and make a real controller without the gimmicks and full software. I can't seriously believe that your claiming 3 band eq as a feature that is something that's on 99 percent of mixers for over 30 years.
Exactly. Those VU meters are unusable, no master VU, no inputs and capacitive jog wheels are such a crapshoot for reliability. Disappointed once again.
exactly. in fact there is actually less here because you can only select 6 different fx and not the whole range and you can only have one fx at a time however you do have to pay more than the mixers that can do more because you will need to upgrade the software for an extra 300 USD. so pay more get less oh wait its got 3 band eq as a feature because that's so hard to find and not on practically every mixer for over 30 years
@@mintomax2 what I was really expecting is something a bit big like Rane 12 a fix effect,if you don't want to use laptop,may be an hard disk or flash drive,input efx and more,line S7 or s11 of pioneer mixers
@@olusholaogunfolu1676 I got the mixon 4 up to three dedicated FX per channel for the full range comes with pro software compatible with laptops and tablets and 4 different softwares only down side is you can only use as a controller as no inputs apart from tablet/laptop ones but I probably won't need that anyway
