I had the same problem a couple of years ago. I ended up ordering another TTX off of eBay for $30. It had a broken tone arm but the motor still worked. And I was back in business.
I had the same problem after cleaning a record on the deck. This created a huge static charge which made the chip unstable. Bought a cheap adjustable soldering iron, thermal paste and Toshiba IC chip on eBay, and swapped them over. Result. Thanks Dude!
Hey, the ic chip fix worked on two tables already! I noticed that on one the spindle is loose and therefore makes the platter wobbly. Do you know how to fix this?!
Hey man, I know this is a couple years old, but I just had a TTX USB motor seemingly die on me, ordered a used / new to me on eBay, replaced it and I'm having the same problem, I don't think this motor as the ic chip on it, is there another fix you've heard of, read somewhere about a "speed sensor"? THX!
CJ, I came across this video of your TTX having issues and I want to pick your brain if I could. I have a chance to purchase a Numark TTX for $100 but there is no audio output. The seller claims you can hear a small amount of audio from the needle, but none out of the RCA output jacks. Everything else works perfectly and its in excellent shape. Do you have any idea what that might be? Also are you having anymore issues with your TTX
my tax is still working perfectly .. as far as that table it could be a few things the contacts on the inside of the tonearm could be dirty a sticky might not be making a good connection . the tone arm could have bad wring ...
