They are two different effects, one requires an overlay unit to be detached and the other requires you to tribute 2 monsters on the field

​@@CrimsonDemon311Battle Phase, which is pretty much the only time his effect kicks in, sadly his choas form is pretty much C62's nerfed version

Honestly galaxy satellite gets in the way, when your better off using your resources for something else. And given its banishing effect which it's suppost to be useed for, it's not likely to survive a turn on the field. You could try using it for link material to use its graveyard effect I guess, but why go through that hassle when there are definitely better options. It also doesn't help that only half of the battle damage is inflicted...
