They are back together playing if you do a quick search on RU-vid. Here's another live rendition of this song by this band from 2021: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cfzr161FM7Y.html
6:48 definitely hit me the most, that poor person was definitely going through an emotional rollercoaster, knowing that his favorite band is performing for the very last time
I remember finding these guys back in 2010 and being in fucking love with them ever since. So many bands like Number Girl who are absolute fucking beasts, came and left their mark and said goodbye. Ended things on a high note and peacefully. I love them so much.
@@davysnave1903 Snot (Lynn strait died but left an impact on punk/nu metal), Failure (Grunge/alternative band in the 90's but are recently back together for a new album), At The Drive-in (90's/00's punk band, Omar and cedric would later form "The Mars Volta") Cream ( Internal fighting, and lasted only 2 years, but left a mark on the rock industry) Los Saicos (Peruvian Punk band and are seen as the forefathers of punk having only been around 2 years) Operation Ivy ( Their influence in the punk/Ska scene was incredible, they disbanded and the guitarist and bassist went on to form Rancid) Hope you like these recommendations
Man, I've always wanted to go to a concert like this where the venue is big enough for the band and audience are close enough so the band and audience can feel each other's energy.
I live close to this venue and I've been there numerous times before and yeah I agree with you. It's actually a lot bigger than it looks here but still the audience can get close to the band so it's one of the best venues to play. Quite spacious but not too much.
I feel the emotion, I feel the unity and this random offering from the almighty algorithm is one of the best I've ever eaten and I want seconds. This is fantastic. The singer is incredible. Goes in and out of scream and overall makes me want to listen to Pixies, smoke a pack of cigs, half a pound of trees and remind me how fucking lucky I am to have a life on this earth.
It's like a final bittersweet goodbye to an amazing journey you've watched for several years during the toughest of times and the highs of life..... I really appreciate the artistry and the professionalism of this band, and I only wish I was around to witness them live.
I've never heard of this band but I almost came to tears watching this. You can feel the energy and passion and emotion in the room. This is what music is about. Beautiful.
i literally cry every time i watch this video. 4:02 is a perfect example of that indescribable visceral feeling of pure passion that only music can bring out in us humans
Here is what he says at the beginning in Japanese, and then an English translation: Japanese: English Translation: What is today, the 30th November? Heh, I wonder if why the 30th of November is so ‘hot’ in Sapporo? (Probably a joke combining the words ‘hot’ for temperature and ‘hot’ for enthusiasm.) Well, thank you all very much for coming to our last live performance of Number Girl today. I am very happy to be able to perform our last show here in Sapporo, in the northern part of Japan. Speaking of Sapporo, there are many bands I have admired for a long time, such as bloodthirsty butchers, eastern youth, foul, the blue herb and, regrettably, COWPERS, who have also disbanded. There are many bands that have influenced me here in Sapporo. History is a wonderful thing, some histories end and some continue. The people I have been influenced by in Sapporo have a long and continuing history. The weight of that history is expressed in their works. 'These are the people who are ‘expressing’ such expressions, ‘expressions’ derived from history.' (This final sentence I really struggled to translate into English. Even in English I don't fully understand what he's trying to get at) I, too, want to express in this kind of rock ‘n’ roll that comes from the depths of my heart - my history, my thoughts, all kinds of things... And I hope that I can be like my predecessors, these great bands from Sapporo. Well, I am proud to say that we have come a little bit closer, if not a little bit (is he implying their band has come closer to becoming like the great bands from Sapporo?). We have been believed in ourselves since the summer of 1995, and now we are ending the history of Number Girl. We are Number Girl from Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City.
I fist time heard this band on Spotify a couple of years ago, and I loved them! Right now, my country, Ukraine, going through tough times, but this band and their songs keep me going! Thank You!1!Дякую! Arigato gozaimasu!
You can really feel the emotions of the crowd at 4:02. It's like their last scream for the band that they've loved since the beginning, there's so much emotion behind it. This show was the last time Number Girl and a crowd would ever join together and have the same emotions. It feels so real, so true, so engaging, so energetic, that it makes you breathless. Even if someone doesn't like this kind of music, that doesn't matter, because the people here love the band and the band knows it. What a spectacle! What a fitting song for the their last performance. "Omoide" means "memories" in Japanese, so "Memories in My Head" is a perfect phrase for the end.
+Julian Smith This is exactly how I felt listening to a recording of Softball's last live show. A chance download I stumbled across from someone's rock in japan blog years ago, and it's still more engaging and emotional than many live shows I've been to.
So beautiful. It's a sad day when you find an amazing band and the very same day find out they broke up 8 years before you even heard of them. I've seen this performance countless times but this is the first time I saw this extended version. Almost in tears myself.
Ya know I don’t think I’ve ever said “I wish I lived in japan in the late 90s to the early 2000s” but this performance made me say that. So sad I didn’t find out about this band till after they broke up.
Absolutely amazing, you can hear the band playing their hearts out giving it all their all as a farewell. So much energy between the crowd and the band.
TRANSLATION ( done by user ncem0115 deep in the comments, just putting it up here so you dont need to go searching for it ): "[Narration]And the last live... [Shutoku Mukai] What's the date today? It's November 30. Here is the Sapporo on November 30. but Why So hot? Today... Thank you for your coming to the last live of the Number Girl. And... I think it a great honor to do this last live of the Number Girl at Sapporo. Bloodthirsty Butchers, eastern youth, fOUL, THA BLUE HERB(it isn't a miss spell), Carver's, and more... I was influenced by them who were the great bands started in Sapporo. History is a great thing. We all have the termination of the histories and the continuation of the history. The bands in Sapporo who I am influenced express the continuation of the history in their musical work. And I want to express my history, philosophy, and more that springs out of the depth of the heart in the Rock'n'Roll and I want to become like the predecessors. I think...maybe we become like the predecessor...a few, so I take great pride in the band members of the Number girl. Now, we bring our history of the Numbergirl to an end since the summer of 1995. We are the Number girl, formed at Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City. Drums, Ahito Inazawa."
I don't understand anything of the lyrics or the comment section but the music and the crowd wow, this concert was awesome all the feelings and the euphoria are simply amazing

This is the only video on this entire site that brings me to tears everytime. And i dont speak Japanese. The vibes in that room must have been wild that night.
Coming across videos like this through the RU-vid Algorithm , I can't help but feel Lost , Nostalgic , Existential , Happy , Sad amongst many other emotions . Life truly is strange , yet I'm glad to have been a part of it . And Glad to have came across this video and Band .
Bruh this is weird. I was like three years old when they broke up and now I'm vibing to this watching them jam out years later. One of the cool things about technology. Wonder where they are now.
@@gonkong5638 Thing is, in December they're having their last *last* live at the Rising Sun Festival. It's kind of sad they're breaking up again but hey, good things can't last forever
