Recent auctions by Shannons in NSW were: #357 $120,000, #260 $130,000, #243 $142,000.
Lower numbers command higher value. A two digit VIC plate may have sold for $300,000 in 2010, but by 2016 two digit plates were bringing in over $500,000.
Single digits rarely change hands. Six or seven years ago NSW #6 was sold for around $1 Million.
It is the same in Victoria and to a lesser degree in other Australian states.
