I was building Numemon decks WAY before they were meta or the price hike on the Reboot Monzaemons because I wanted to build around ShinMonzaemon. I naturally ended up with all the pieces I needed especially cuz my friend got all the Ukkomon and Lui stuff he didn't need. I was also building Sukamon long before so I had plenty of Etemon and wanted to trying some silly stuff with Valkyrimon. That is how I ended up with a super good deck with Digimon I love.
The first time I happened to pay against Numemon, I was playing Guilmon mill, and it was a SUPER EASY win. Wargrowl is really good at popping multiple little guys, and Gallantmon is great for doing so multiple times. Plus, you're milling the entire time, which limits their options- and you also want your stuff to be deleted, so they find it hard to get around your board as well. It's more than just Gaomon that's an option for that specific match up. The real problem is Armors, vaccine or otherwise. Doesn't matter if you can beat nume if you can't beat Magna, and if you can beat magna, you have to ALSO be able to deal with nume. In competitive settings, anyways.
this might be my favorite decklist video ever. I hope that they start giving us more of that “start of main phase attack” effect, but like less broken aces so that it isn’t too bad
Totally agree with etemon taunt to control the board. The one card that I swear by in Numemon is 1 copy of st16 Matt ishida. It’s all turns effect to gain a memory when you discard is beyond clutch. The amount of times I’ve stolen turn when platinum comes down during my opponents turn and now gains me 3 memory has been huge. There’s a lot of applications for it, but I’ll never take my copy out now
You need a level 4 nume, and then a rookie, a level 5, and more copies of level 4 nume are nice for things like geremon. Past that its really matchup dependent.
imperial is a pretty easy matchup, as for shine, we typically are faster and have some ways to stop them from OTKing us, but they can high roll us out of the game as they can against most decks.
Hello, if possible could you share some thoughts on the Tyrant matchup? I just had a few sparing matches against a friend of mine and honestly, the match feels kinda hopeless. Need to rely on "rookie rush" strategy otherwise it's pretty much a downhill battle. I've switch for a build like yours that won recently so i have to try that one out, but the match seems rough..
The key idea is that we are faster, if rushing them down seems viable in that game I'd say go for it, similar to magna x though our dp minus effects get around their protection a lot. if you get 1-2 monz x out you can give their tyrants -20k dp every turn, and when they unsuspend theyre deleted unless they have evade. If they ever end up with an extra stack you can force it to attack and then attempt to delete the other one with valk effect when a security check happens.
@@marshmallowruffian8259 I rarely had the opportunity to keep more than 3 Digi on field on those matches, Tyrant is constantly suspending and attacking or bottoming each turn. Maybe Etemon might be a key piece that I didn't test and makes a difference. Still thanks a lot for your input, I´ll do some more testing your your list and come back eventually. I tested the etemon for the first time at my locals last night. Holy fuck it's insane. I had Venus + etemon with another lv5 that could go into Venus multiple times. Even against your bad matchups you just completely blow them out. Hands down this is the BDIF
OK, I'm sorry, but MagnaX does not have to be the best deck to be game warping, that's not what game warping means. Game warping means that the decks have to build specifically around a deck. And that is MagnaX. If a deck cannot beat the wall that is MagnaX, then it shouldn't be considered in the current meta. So, please rephrase what you've said. I do agree that MagnaX is not that big of a threat that people have compared it to. However, you're being disingenuous about MagnaX.
Ya this set has killed purple base sadly, it used to be really close and dependent on what you wanted to beat. This set though mandates the black base ;-;
not fully settled on one yet, still doing some testing with ratios, ill release a video before my next major tourny for sure though with the list ill be taking
They made such a big design mistake making the good monzae and platinum nume cards yellow. If they where black, this deck would be way less of a problem since all the amazing lv6 yellow support. I wonder what the hell they where thinking. The design team seems on crack since ex5. I'm even afraid etemon will get banned in the future, eventhough it is fair support for it's own deck. I love playing suka/ete, though it isn't good now or in future meta's. But it will be even worse with ex5 etemon at 1. I might even say the way ace cards are designed right now is not going to be great for the health of the game over time.
You right. We getting this deck banned into the dirt!!! By the the time this regional season is over. Nume X will be full banned. Monzae X will be to one. Normal Monzae and Platinum Nume will be choice restricted. While our overlord Ukko gets away.
