@@robertmaggiobellotti7046 Ibuprofen is the miracle painkiller in jail/prison. The only time I ever saw anyone get narcotic painkillers was if they were in the hospital. I don't believe they even gave it to guys that were in the prison infirmary.

I feel bad for the older gentleman. But he wrote bad checks to maintain that “good” lifestyle. I know they have to divide up the troublemakers, but there should be pods for non-violent offenders like him to keep them safe. I guess they hope that mixing them up will let some of the calm & wisdom rub off on the young ones.

I was arrested one time because of a clerical error on a traffic ticket. I was there for about 8 hours, until they found the problem and let me go with an apology, but until the last minute, when someone called or sent paperwork, I was treated worse than anything I see on these videos. I was terrified and no one would tell me anything, the only thing I did was try to talk to one of the officers at the desk and was told to shut up. I was strip searched, put in a jail uniform and chained to the wall. The worst was not being told anything, and not being able to make a call to tell anyone what was happening. No one knew.

I spent 2.5 years behind bars. I've had mixed experiences. My first time I was so scared I was shaking. I played it off that I was tweaking hard. It made ppl laugh and I was surprised as to how nice ppl were. I got sent to another block and had to fight.

Yes, I concur, I’m not sure why it was canceled, I’ve seen everyone of these, on the boob tube, I just rewatch once in awhile, the reruns are still on TV, but I just watch these videos.

Man I don’t miss jail for sure. Prison wasn’t as bad as jail but bad enough to not want to be in there. Some people in there you could tell that they already made it their second home. I spent 5 years and refused to let prison institutionalize me. Some guys in there you can tell felt more comfortable in prison then on the streets. Especially if they had a good hustle going on. You can turn one soup into 5 foot lockers full of food if you know the game.

It's sad to see how many people struggle to live. Sometimes you were just dealt a bad hand. Situations in their childhood that shaped them to make wrong decisions. Some have mental issues through no fault of their own. But I do acknowledge there are also just evil people. For evil, there should be no mercy.

Many feel being aggressive is the only way to not appear weak and being weak in prison can be dangerous. Given the mentality, violence is inevitable. I grew up with violence and frankly violence is the only thing bullies understand. The only thing bullies have is their brutality, they have a low self-esteem overall and hurting others makes them feel superior and puts the fear in other males that would challenge them.

nah, I was living in Vegas and went to jail in the early 70s 10 days after I turned 18. It was a red neck cop profiling me plain and simple. It's a crappy place.

@@warriordog4094 So just because he committed a financial crime, or any other crime, it makes it ok for him to just have been punched, especially if he had nothing to do with the beef of the other guys involved in the fight, nor did anything to provoke it? You better pray you never end up in jail and find yourself in the wrong spot at the wrong time and get innocently caught up in a crossfire.

It's weird how inconsistent each jail s response to similar behaviour is , some won't put up with one movement or one bad word and bring 'em down real quick - others will allow a guy to say a string of filthy insults to a female c.o. and six c.o.s stood there right next to him and did absolutely nothing :/

My late uncle worked intake for a jail for awhile. He always swore things got wild during a full moon - but he didn't claim it was supernatural, just the result of more people, including criminals, being out late because they can see where they are going.

I guess it depends on the place. In the state prison where I worked, the units (or blocks) had two pods. Each pod had an officer (at an open desk) and the sergeant, which was myself. There were about 125 inmates on each pod.

@@titsmagee4469 That's not how it always works. I've seen plenty of times where they Officer gets the upper hand and restrains the person before help arrives. As far as beating on someone? I guess that depends on the state. EVERYTHING is filmed where I worked...you get caught doing anything like that, the least you can expect is to be fired...you could also be charged or sued.

12:10 It's interesting to see how restrictive, but at the same time tolerant US jails and prisons are. They're arguing about the uniform being too tight fitting. But not about the man's choice of hair or feminine demeanour. You know what? I believe that warden when he says it's a safety concern. He's not worried about this man's lifestyle choices. Just about the general safety and order in the prison. Good on him. That's a professional right there.

My husband and I visited Las Vegas often in the 1960s for the lounge and dinner shows (Sinatra and the rat pack, etc.), a little gambling, really good food, great hotel service (we stayed at The Sands Hotel) and meet with friends. It was safe, clean, and fun. What I see from all these videos is how Vegas has turned into a dangerous broken-down amusement park and ground zero for violent offenders.
