One of the best guitarists walking this Earth, hats off to Nuno!!! I could listen to his solos all day plus he can sing while lighting the strings on fire.
Really enjoyed Nuno telling his story with such excitement and sincerity. We all love and cherish his amazing talents, but I can't help thinking of how proud his family must be. What a great guy.
I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Nuno a bit when he was in ft. Lauderdale at the New River Studio's to record a new album with his band Extreme. He was quite unassuming, humble and never had that rock star attitude. He was getting his knee rehabbed at the facility I was working at. Such a great person.
I’ve seen quite a handful of your comments on my posts and I just wanna appreciate those people whose wishes me good and encourages me and my team, I wouldn’t be the man I am today without people like you, God bless you. I hope to bring you so much happiness and joy 🌹❤️
I've been an Extreme Fan since i was a Kid, but only now in my 40's do i really appreciate a great story teller... That was a really cool story that i didn't even know.
Nuno is a Riff monster he is so underrated as a guitarist I'd put him up against anyone. The Nuno stands alone. There can be only one..... Nuno Rocks!!!
Hey man ( Nuno would say !! ) , watch "GUITAR WARS "with Nuno, Steve Hackett ( Genesis ) , john Paul Jones ( Led Zeppelin )and Mr.Big 's guitarist. ( i forgot his name )You'll be amazed. It has been recorded in Tokio some years ago and it's reallly fantastic.Bye,
Lucas Penido lol, always think the same thing - either the guy has discovered the true fountain of youth...or is a vampire lol. Only change is he’s now even more awesome 😉
Really a great player and a nice guy. I was lucky enough to meet him and Gary in Phoenix and hang out a little while. I actually took them to What-A-Burger at 1AM! Both were very cool, regular guys.
G. Cherone must have had magical sight. he picked Nuno before even seeing him play ... and we all know, he was right all along. one of the best on electric guitar EVER.
I remember hearing a story about Nuno w/ some other musicians forgot exactly who they all were but on tour together. They'd go out to clubs and they were talking about how quick Nuno was able to pick up the hottest chick in the clubs. After a few nights of this One of them was like dude.. what is your line? what do you say to make that happen? He said, "I just walk up and say hi, I'm Nuno"..
That doesn't surprise me... I've nerver seen a more gorgeous guy than Nuno. Back at that time I think all the girls who crossed his path had to drop like flies around him, that must have been so easy for him to pick whoever he wanted. And maybe that is still. I've been absolutely a fan of this guy for almost 25 years, his multiple talents as an artist are well established, he's a monster, and one of the greatest musician of all times for me. But unfortunately, I'm a girl ... And I wish I was a guy to remain insensitive to his unbearable fucking charisma and beauty. Even today at over 50, he remains just magnificent and so charismatic. Oh shit... 🤦♀️😂
A big influence of mine. I remember hearing his stuff and saying “this is the same band that wrote more than words!?” That was after hearing Get The Funk Out.
I remember a few hilarious incidents around that time when non-hardrock people would buy albums based on radio singles and get a hell of a shock when they discovered what the band "usually" sounds like lol. Extreme II as well as Mr. Big's Lean Into It (feat. To Be with You)
Thanks to RU-vid. I constantly have no idea about many famous guys. at first glance you would think they’ve got some kind of attitude but every one of them who made success the old-fashioned way are so down to earth and real humans. Congrats to extreme

@@nunobettencourt3670 Nuno, It's awesome that you are a great musician and a humble man. I'll admit that growing up I only knew 'More than words' cause I was more into hip hop (I was only 11 at the time lol) but now I really appreciate your music. Hope you continue to make great music!
Nuno has mad skills, but I admit I'm sort of lukewarm on Extreme's music. Three Sides to Every story is probably my favorite and probably the most musically diverse. My favorite band of the late 80's and early 90's is King's X.
Similar view here. I think Extreme was Nuno and the rest. The band around him didn't match his skills. When listening to music where he plays, I tend to ignore the rest of the band behind him - something that I normally don't do. Yes, Kings X....👍👍
@Doublon Conroy And that says a lot! Lol "I don't care too much for money, cause money can't buy me love. Can't buy me looo-ove, looo-ove..." but it can buy him a great big house. This being said, I must admit he's just one of the most creative, talented, prolific and influential men still walking this earth so... We forgive him.
@@slaprakshas I think in terms of personality, my favorite has always been George. But when it comes to songwriting... Paul is also my favorite. I used to think John was, but over the years I realized most of the songs I still love as much as when I first heard them are mostly Paul's. But it's easier to find good songs among such a wide catalog! He's always been the most prolific.
@Bruno Bailly Same with me... When it comes to choose one I’m always torn between all four.. that’s why there’s a pun in my last comment. Paul gets the highest amount of bashing in the media - that he doesn’t deserve. Hence I never pass a chance to show my support and appreciation of him. Being a bass player I have some extra reasons too..

I like Nuno's playing a lot more than Vai ,Satch and the rest because he has that special something that makes him different and more interesting . Same deal with Eddie , despite Steve Vai always being around Dweezil Zappa when he was with Frank, Dweezil was absolutely obsessed with Eddie . Some guitarists have that special something that sets them apart from everybody else .

Search here for (Sinful Demo Album 1985) it features J. Anes B4 RockCandy and Nuno Bettencourt B4 Extreme!!!! Also search here for (Sucker For a Pretty Face) By RockCandy, it's a great under rated 80s album!!! Enjoy
I'm from Massachusetts, Nuno is our greatest export. I've been a fan since V66 was on TV. That was our local music video channel in Boston. You've gotta love Nuno, he's incredible.
I once knew Nuno..and I'm still friends with all his cousins, (his cousin Marc mostly). we grew up in the same town on the same street... right across from the old Victory supermarket in Hudson. I swell with pride for him and my humble childhood...the fact that the two are connected STILL blows me away whenever I see anything regarding him online. Massachusetts is the best! Best bands...best hospitals, schools....best sports teams and athletes...just the best~

Love his start story. Always liked him, he seems to be a real person. My favorite version of Creep is his at Lucky Strikes. Turkey Jam's vid's are great.

Nuno, how can you be so gorgeous still after 30 years? And this is without makeup and surgeries. Women can’t be that beautiful au naturele at your age!
I look back to those days and man how special the scene was, growing up with so many great dudes in and around Boston. I think Toshi sent me and my buddy Nick down to help you guys, its all a little foggy but you had your name backwards on the club sign, club 3 slumerville. and the club was empty and I was helping your guitar tech the blonde girl. You played more than words to the basicly empty club and then Pat got hungry and Me and Gary, Pat, Paul and Nick had lunch. As we left you were working on your stack up in some little cubby right of the stage. It was great to get some singer talk between me and Gary, I really didn't have many people I could relate too back then being a singer locally in our age group. Nick ended up doing some Lamma work ;) We ended up playing the beach and Manchvegas a lot and had some CBS intrest after we got representation. Man the music world has changed!
that was a cool story love nuno and extreme. they were very talented band . Nuno still playing great and looks like he hasn't aged . they did a great job using their influence to make a unique sound. I like some new bands but they are miles away from the caliber of musician they were.
