I personally like the saddle tan interior as well, but I get your point. My suggestion? Go with a light beige interior. It would really pop against the blue exterior and is actually a factory option colour.
Hi Tom, Saddle Tan for the interior. Option 2 white. Nice bodycolor, the color you are refering to is i think carbon Schwarz. I've seen a lot of e46 m3 with that color. In my humble opinion one of the most Beautiful black color. A very deep color. You think its black than look again and you see a blue color. Nice! Looking forward to the end result
I really like the white seats! I also had an Audi that was painted not as dark of a blue as you used but it had a cream leather interior and I really liked that look a lot.
White would look really tight with that super dark blue paint. I’d never have white on a real car because I’m a bit of a creature, but it’s great for model cars where nobody’s gonna touch them.
Definetly Saddle tan, you can add some variety based on the interior details, Alluminium trim, Carbon or wood, though i'd stay clear of woof with the tan interior
First off l love and get envious of your vids/builds. I don't have as much of a set up as you but l do the best l can with what l have 😃. I personally think the red interior would look amazing with the colour choice of the beemer!
Take the blue from the body and lighten it a few shades with grey primer, and then paint the upholstery with it while leaving vents, grills, carpets and such a matte black.
I think a really light “slate” grey - nearly white interior would look awesome with that dark blue. Otherwise I would vote for the saddle brown over the red.
1st, love all your work and decisions you choose on exterior and interior colors they always flow great together........... Me personally I would like to see something different with a white interior, haven't seen that done on your channel.
@@TheScalemodelingChannel cheers mate. I forgot to answer your question at the end of your video. I think the saddle tan will suit the blue a bit better than the red will.
Personally I’d go the saddle tan, or a couple of shades lighter as per the factory option, I actually bought several bmw interiors to convert my e46 from all grey to Black and Tan/beige leather
Hi, paint it with a little dark tan interior, plus windows and rear glass with a thin layer of blue, or go crazy and do a white interior with thin dark blue on windows...
I had a 325Ci with a biscuit/cream interior, that would go well with the blue if you didn't want to do saddle tan again, it is a great colour for leather though.
So what if it’s similar to a few of your previous builds?? If it works, I say go for it, and the saddle tan works beautifully with that gorgeous blue, at least in my opinion!! Love your work, Thom. : )
I think you should do the interior like its shown @9:25, but paint the Saddle Tan parts White and the paint the Black parts the Body Color. I think that would look wicked and I've not seen you do a White with Body Color accents interior yet. 👍👍
For the color that you painted the body i think saddle would look better compared to red. A light creme color with black detail would also go well with the exterior color you chose, but I’m not sure if that is a color BMW has available for its interiors or how accurate to BMW colors you want to stick to.
Hey Tom… I (like you) love the saddle tan, but that WHITE looked REALLY good too. I sure hope everything is going well for ya, it’s been 3weeks since you posted and was just hoping your on vacation of something. Please let us know brother. Hopefully…. See ya soon.
Hey man. Well isn’t the wordt i would choose to describe it. I’m fine physically, just having some mental and motivational struggles. Took some time off, getting back in to things here very soon.
Great color for that car. The interior: Maybe light blue with black or the BMW color White and Blue?? Is it possible to send that Bob Smith glues to Spain tom?? Cannot find it here, and used other brands but was not that happy with those. Thanks in Advance and Happy Holidays for everybody.
@@TheScalemodelingChannel The small window at the back of the door by the kink , the one that does not move , its fixed in place, when you open the window your main glass goes down and that one stays , A lot of model E46s seem to miss this part for some reason . See this vid of the Welly model ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--L4jy0HkoKs.html the back door , I have seen some people just draw a line there but it dosnt look right .
Hi Tom, could adding a little thinner for second and third coats to other 2K clears like streetblisters etc help or make result worse? I see azure/ blue interior with that body color. Thank you.
