I just got this keyboard with the wisteria switches and they sound amazing much better than what we can hear in this video, supper happy with those. If you don't like linears but want the cowberry sound from this video just go wisteria you wont be disappointed
Is wisteria too loud for an open office space? I currently have a keychron with Gateron Browns and was wondering if it is equal or more quiet than gateron browns?
Ordered Wisteria because I wanted to try the low profile tactile. My first low profile keeb. I love the way Cowberry sounds but its linear, I like the bump feedback in tactile.
Replying to myself... I'm using the Cowberry now. They sound great but I'm now realizing that I prefer the feedback of a tactile switch over a linear switch which is in the Cowberry. I'll give it a little more time but I feel like I will be going back to the Wisteria switches.
Cowberry sounds best (That nice quiet, slightly thocky sound), but I still think I've made a good decision going for moss (as I prefer the feel of heavier tactile switches) - still sounds great in the video and I'm looking forward to receiving it
I got the wisterias because I love tactiles and they sound more then quiet enough to use in an office setting but I gotta say the cowberries might be the first linear switch to pull me away. Tested it on my v2 and the feel and sound is amazing.
I ordered an Air75 with the Gateron Blue 2.0. The only other switch I've tried are cherry mx browns on an older keyboard I have. I loved the clicky sounds for the first few days and now a week later I am wondering if I should have gotten the cowberries. I realize the sound I love more is the keycap sound, not the clicks themselves. Plus my hands are getting tired quicker than normal.
Oooh, those cowberry’s sound great. I want to take my nuphy to class because I hate my laptop keyboard but my v1 and the aloe switches are probably too loud
@@sawiiebecause material built is differents and yeah the price too. You can check keychrone vs nuphy air75 vs lofree flow. I think the best sound for silent typing is lofree, second is nuphy air with cowberry 👌🏽
Been doing research on this for the last month, I think your best option is the low profile gateron red switches for office use. They fit into this keyboard. Although I still think the Cowberry sound probably as or more quiet. I think ill go Cowberry since I also want a quiet switch, I wish they had low profile Sea Salt Switches!
suggestions for Air75 v3: - volume wheel - compartment for the dongle integrated in keyboard - magnets for the wrist rest. questions: 1. Has the right shift-key this time stabilizers? 2. Was care taken to keep the input lag as low as possible? 3. Are the switches pre-lubricated? 4. Will the same keycap colour mix of the black edition (black keycaps for letters, grey for rest) also be available separately? 5. Does it come with a dust cover like the Air96? 6. Is NuFolio V2 compatible with Air75v2? 7. Is there a connection between the LED backlight and QMK? So is it possible to reassign the keys and at the same time set the lighting for certain keys? 8. Are there different QMK profiles that activate automatically depending on which programme you start?
Personally I avoid keyboards with volume wheels on them. I like my keyboard to be compact and simple just the way this one is designed. Volume wheels only do the same thing the function keys do, they just emulate the volume up/down keys on a wheel. If you want proper precise volume control, you can get a DAC with a nice volume knob on it and have much better audio quality too.
1. Has the right shift-key this time stabilizers? From what I've seen of product photos and such it appears to do so 2. Was care taken to keep the input lag as low as possible? They quote the 1000hz polling rate over 2.4Ghz and such on the website so I imagine it is, yes. 3. Are the switches pre-lubricated? According to the website, Nuphy low-profile switches are factory lubed, yes. 4. Will the same keycap colour mix of the black edition (Black keycaps for letters, grey for the rest) also be available separately? From the pre-order, you can get a spare set of keycaps. The spacebar, escape key and right shift(?) key are all still coloured differently however. 5. Does it come with a dust cover like the Air96? From early review and unboxing videos, the keyboard comes with a clear plastic dust cover. So yes. 6. Is NuFolio V2 compatible with Air75v2? If the keyboards are the same dimensions they should be? Not sure. If you're pre-ordering this keyboard you might as well bundle the newer folio v3 with it. 7. Us there a connection between the LED backlight and QMK? So is it possible to reassign the keys and at the same time set the lighting for certain keys? According to Nuphy's product page for the Air75v2, the LEDs are in fact customizable in software. This extends to the small light strips either side of the keys as well. 8. Are there different QMK profiles that activate automatically depending on which programme you start? I can't actually answer this one as I've never used a QMK keyboard before. This will be my first! Regarding your suggestions: 1) Volume wheel I personally think this wouldn't be a great addition. It'd require frame modifications which would make the keyboard larger. It'd also add to the cost of the keyboard and not offer much in the way of functionality since you can already change the volume using the function keys. 2) Compartment for the dongle integrated into the keyboard Good idea, but there'll be good reasons for why they haven't opted to do this. For example, the dimensions of the keyboard case are a constraint that prevent them from being able to fit it in easily. The keyboard does come with a dongle holder that clips to the cable however, so they have considered dongle storage. 3) Magnets for the wrist rest This is a good suggestion. I imagine the reason they haven't done this comes down to case/frame dimensions again. The Mono wrist rest is relatively thin as well. From the videos I've seen there doesn't really appear to be a need for magnets on the wrist rest. I might update this comment to give further thoughts when my keyboard and wrist rest eventually arrive.
@NuPhy I'd like to buy a Lunar Gray Air 75 V2 with Cowberry switches and black shine-through nsa PC keycaps but it doesn't seem to be available on Amazon UK? Will your full range be coming to Amazon UK soon?
Hmm, this is a djungle for me. Want tactile. Have Gateron browns on a Keychron V1 and like them. Need to make a choice between Browns, Wisteria and Moss before placing an order for the Air75 V2. Really hard to tell without trying. Any advice would be appreciated.
Wisteria are like Gateron Brown 2.0 but a bit nicer and smoother IMO. I wouldn't rip out existing Brown switches to replace them with Wisteria necessarily - but ordering a new keyboard from NuPhy you could definitely do worse than picking Wisteria as far as I'm concerned.
Based on my experience with my current Keychron K3, I originally opted for their low profile optical browns and later swapped them for their mint switches, which are a rough equivalent of the moss switches (but no pre-travel?). I personally like heavier tactile switches so opted for the moss switches on my preorder. The keyboard does come with extra switches (one of each type IIRC) so you can test to feel the difference!
Very clacky sounding? That spacebar could do with some dampening as well as it sounds quite 'thumpy'. Cowberry sound okay though. The Lofree Flow switches with O rings sound alot smoother though.
And then there is 50ms input lag even in wired mode, bluetooth deep sleeps... That drove me away from lofree flow. But the pom switches are unbeatable, yeah
heard that qmk is now possible in this version. Is this true? does this work in wireless condition? I would like to see the source for configuration if it is true.
