Neil at BBR just got my custom tune file back to my installer in Queensland Australia. Cannot wait to experience my 225. What a trip to drive it at The Ring. Wow!
Every time i watch your vids i consider going down the ITB route ;) How you finding the winmax W5, i was concerned that they'd overhear too quickly under hard track work, and was looking at the W6 instead.
I'm running W5 front (and W3 rear due to lack of stock) and they haven't faded for me on numerous 20min track sessions with three heavy braking zones per 80sec lap. Car is stock NC. Actually I've done longer sessions too with no issues. The W6.5's may be better but I don't feel the need to find out. The W5 are OK on the street.. I wouldn't want to trade off any more streetability for a marginal gain in track performance.
Sorry for not replying this earlier! The W5's are brilliant for what I need. No fade on 20minute sessions experienced so far, lots of braking power and last longer than the previous pad setups I've used. Highly recommended!
given you never really get out of 5th gear here, have you considered fitting the shorter 4.1 diff to your car so you have quicker acceleration through the gears?
Yes! completely agree, would defintiely be a lot more efficient at making ground with the shorter ratio - however I've decided to keep the longer ratios for comfort purposes for our roadtrips...Maybe it'll get swappred one day!
Im on the cusp of sticking throttle bodys ony nc-----all the other mods are done meister r coilovers plus roddisons pads ----only thing kinda holding me back is the initial outlay-----propably more than my cars total value and the fact it will propably relegate it to a weekend toy asapose to its current daily status---first world problems though really-----.
Closed my eyes and hoped for the best. In honesty, every time I've completed a trip I consider just doing properly organised trackdays...such a big risk with TF, although far better when quiet. Also, never go full send...
Work was done by UK based 'Royal Steering Wheels' who did a fantastic OEM+ job. Yes gained quite a bit for ingress/egress. Doesn't matter so much with stock seats, but with bucket seats, it is a great addition!@@Drivers.Garage
