Nurburgring Nordschleife Radical SR8 lap record  

Unlikely; this car is not road legal. Still very impressive driving and car control...those Radicals are adrenalin machines.

I love your channel Misha. I've watched a lot of laps around that place, in a lot of different vehicles, , but that was by God impressive. I love a Radical, and will have one some day.

Actually, he could have been even faster because he made a few small mistakes. Impressive driving nonetheless, though, chapeau!

Lot of mistake and not fast 260.top speed .need stage3. And 200cv power more.

Agree... That was one fast lap but also shows how mind bendingly fast that 919 lap is! Two very different cars but two very skilled drivers.

A minute and a half on the Nordschleife is the age of the universe.

well this is a road car driven by an enthusiast in normal track day wearing semi slick 919lap record was a uprated no hold bared rule breaking leman prototype with a racing department and a close track session driven by a world champion

@@patthonsirilim5739 +1 the sr8 is a kit car built by a dude in his garage with an engine made from two motor bike engines joined together, 6:45 from this is way better than a multinational auto brands race development lap time.

One is road legal and the other isn't though.

pv544's still run in some historic rallies. I used to run a "slightly modified" (hoho) '60s LandRover that I could chase Mercedes down the autobahn at 130+mph but also cross ploughed fields at over 70mph. Old fart/petrolhead - I blame the parents...

@@forandonbehalfof4753 my favorite dirt road car was a '94 Buick Roadmaster Wagon. The thing would float over the bumps and potholes, slide the corners and, with the LS-1 stock V-8 rush down the straights. Not very precise but a lot of fun. Eventually the frame rotted out. I miss that car.

That's awesome to read. Your video was my inspiration to buy an SR8 haha. Very nice drive and a lot of respect for you. You don't realize what it takes until you get that sr8 on the ring and you get bumped like hell in the car 😀 I have gotten even older I guess, I haven't been driving since a while now. The SR8 on the ring was the summum. Hope to meet you someday to share the SR8 ownership experiences 🙂..

Most Radicals are powered by motorcycle engines. The "8" they created are basicly two 4 cylinder motorcycle engines paired together in a common block.

@@getinit56 I didn't realise that, so I did some research and found out that the engine is 2 Suzuki Hayabusa engines bolted together in a v shape and tuned. That is crazy

My friend owned X180R #10 back in 1996. I also owned an S4 back then. We were students in Boston. Right now I have an BRG Esprit Sport 300. Strange thing I had the same idea about throwing away the 4 and swapping it with the hayabusa V8. 😍

Pushing the limits

SUVs wouldn't be able to see an SR8 in its mirrors as it's so low.

Hi Michael, we'll be there for sure this week. Most beautyful circuit in the world. :) I don't drive it that often in real life, maybe 3-5 trackdays a year. There's not much choice for Nurburgring trackdays (that allow this car) and some are very expensive, plus I only want do drive it when the weather is dry, makes no sense otherwise. But it's damn nuts to drive it in real life. Cu this week ;)
