A fast bike won’t make you fast but good technique can make you fast on a slow bike 👍 I ride a zx9r on track and have been humbled by a few cb 500s lol
@@richgsxr1000k9 in all fairness it is a zx9, we know its a little on the slower side especially compeared too these moden 600s as these older bikes cary a good extra 20kg and have less horsepower. My dream bike is the overweight and sluggish p3 750. Slow and heavy but it's somthing my father had and I've had a go on a few but it's the emotion and the looks not the speed and handling. I was happy when I went from a 600 sports too a 125 heavily tuned 2008 xtr only 35hp odd but boy ow boy being on a endure tires and on a super moto frame with a 21" wheel. That was sketchy but we love our bikes and care for them and thats what matters, ride within your limits and enjoy it or if you can take the risk and get on track find your limit and get some training to get faster safely. It hurts when you fall off and as you get older you don't repair the same 😂
@@CrazyBikerGuy to be fair the zx9r is still far from slow but agreed it nowhere near the speed of these modern litre bikes, I still think she would give a modern 600 a good run even with the extra kg’s just through sheer mid range grunt. They are definitely a big lump to try and throw around on track though. The circuit I was battling the cb 500s on was a tight a short Mallory park so the zx9r was at a massive handicap. I had the p4 back in the day and yes, awesome bike. Not the fastest but you just got a special feeling from it and that to me counts for more than outright speed 👍
@@richgsxr1000k9 A ZX-9R is surely capable of 7:40 btg on the nordschleife with a little bit suspension and maybe brake tuning :) ....it just depends on the rider. Don't underestimate these old bikes. For sure they are far away from modern R1 etc. ...but they can go still faster than most riders have skill...
Came up on that car at the Foxhole like it was stationary. Both really quick bikes. Both really quick riders. This really shows each rider and machine has its strengths and weaknesses.
Absolut Genial gefharen, Respekt an euch beide. DLZG
Hats off to the guy on the Duke.. on the track you’d fancy the R1 every day of the week but that Duke will destroy pretty much everything on a public road.!
At first I could not believe my eyes, such speed!! Way beyond Ghost Rider :-) Then I realized I had playback speed set at 1.5 :-D Impressive in any case.
On the straight i get it to not looking because its fast bike but in corner and breaking points on ring someone is always faster, seen many bikes al little slower then him, they never look in mirros, when cars pass them then they realize car is 2 meter from him
You do all that on Rosso Corsa 4? How would you compare these with the sportsmart tt? And why haven't you thought of using a tyre like the supercorsa or a d212?
@@djim_r1can agree, had the rosso 4 on the r6 and now on the r1, great tire. I m gonna try the Mitas Sport Force next, heard even better things from it than from the rosso 4
@@upsidedown_r1Sport Force or sport force+ Ev? I have ridden both. The EV is more sporty and works great in warm temperatures, under 15°C it doesn't work that great anymore, but is still really good. But the Sport Force does it better when it's colder compared to the EV. I liked both tires more then a Supercorsa v3
