Back in 2010, in Los Angeles, as I was pondering what direction I wanted to go in my life, knowing that I love law, I watched a documentary on the Nuremberg Trials. During the viewing, they spotlighted Mr. Ferencz, who was a lawyer and chosen to lead the prosecution of the Nazi. His story moved me, to the point that I looked for a way to contact him, found his email, and sent him an email, asked him question about that moment in his life, how did that moment impact him. I was stunned too receive an email reply a few days latter, and he shared his thoughts, and mentioned that he's 90 years old and told old to slow down... I cherish his reply to this day...

I remember reading somewhere that the bodies were taken to Dachau, not Munich for cremation. Also, It was noted in the same piece I read, that the extra coffin was not 'empty' but contained the remains of an unknown german soldier. I believe the Illuminati does body switches when needed. 1) JFK 2) John Wilkes Booth 3) Herman Goering 4) Heinrich Himmler 5) Adolph Hitler 6) Eva Braun 7) Timothy McVeigh 1) Wife viewing the body. "That's not Jack" 2)He was found by a witness at his deathbed confessing - died in 1903. 3) 4) They are both Members of Order of Malta (Illuminati). 5) 6) They were flown out of Berlin by a female pilot Major in the SS to Spain where they boarded a Uboat discovered in Brazil in September October 1945. SMERSH knew this and Stalin (not his real name {Freemason}) kept demanding Hitler to foreign dignitaries until his death in 1955. 7) He joined the CIA and helped blow up the OKC federal building where Branch Davidian survivors billion dollar lawsuit was transfered to from Federal Building in Texas. @@sadwingsraging3044 141 US soldiers were executed in WWII, all except one for murder, rape, or both. The sole exception was the rather famous case of Eddie Slovik, executed by shooting on January 31, 1945 for desertion. The military had long =feared an outbreak of murder, rape, and/or looting as the military began to take over enemy countries. They used the executions and a way to underline the military's resolve not to let this happen. Given the millions of troops involved with the invasion and occupation of Axis countries, the number of US servicemen who were involved in such crimes was far lower than would have been expected, but the idea you'd be executed if you committed such crimes, or at least would if you were caught, seemed to have a salutary effect in diminishing such crimes.

As a child I grew up on Long Island in the 1960’s and had neighbors who only used their small house in the summer ; grandma and grandpa, mom,dad and one boy and on girl. I was friends with the girl as she was my age and with my other girlfriend we were good friends until high school graduation. They spoke German and the parents and grandparents were from Germany. The grandfather had silver military hair cut and wore brown cloth pants and bleached white tank or tee shirts and sat around smoking hand rolled cigarettes and watching us with steely blue eyes. They had a huge stash of German magazines and whatever I’m their finished garage. The grandmother loved me because my aunt and uncle lived in Germany (US Air Force) and a cousin was born there. Constantly asking me about Germany and I didn’t get it. When I was in my twenties and they had sold the house my next door neighbor who lived next to them as well said to me “You know the old man was a Nazi, right?” Suddenly so much fit together.

I red the article from the French journalist (Sacha Simon) who was among the 8 journalists chosen by lot to attend the trial and the executions. He didn’t speak about long agonies (28 minutes) but rather quick executions. He said 3 minutes for the whole process. On a French website called historia, one can find the text. It is very much detailed, he was allowed to see the prisoners the night of the execution in their cells. The preparation, the entrance, what they said to the priest, the doctors checking the bodies after the execution etc. It is incredibly detailed.

@Sinnerboy88 3 года назад
I remember reading about him. I got the impression he was a major conman and honestly, bit of a dumbass. I highly doubt it was planned.. more just and instance of lack of intelligence/knowledge on how to conduct a proper execution. From what I remember he told a bunch of lies about who he was and what he had done to get positions. It was shocking that he actually got to where he was based mostly on lies. I think I read he accidentally electrocuted himself and got an awful death basically fried to death years later so in a way he got what was coming to him. Karma got him in the end. It was wrong of the Americans to use a halfwit like this for such important executions. It just showed to the rest of the world that they were non-professional and very amateur. The British heard about all these botched executions and how the world reacted to America.. so they wanted to make sure the same thing didn't happen with them. So Field Marshall Montgomery approached the highly professional English hangman Albert Pierrepoint to carry out all their executions to show the world the British were firm but fair and not half assed and embarrassing like the Americans who dangled those men on the end of a rope for half an hour.. it was a disgrace that they were treated that way. Conducting execution by hanging isn't a job for an idiot. There's a lot of precautions that need to be taken.. first of all you want to be familiar with your gallows and have your traps working perfect, just basic stuff like working out length for long drop method, from the man's height, weight and physical strength and indeed how muscular his neck is.. if he had a good strong neck like a manual labourer would have, you maybe need to give him an inch or two more, regardless of his weight, also stuff like stretching the rope with heavy sand bags for at least a night or two before.. the only thing you want to stretch on the day of the execution is the condemned man's neck.. other things like having the knot correct and placing it at the front left side of the throat so it snaps up when the drop making the 'hangman's fracture' resulting in instant death is made etc. Too long a drop can result in torn open neck or even complete decapitation.. on the other hand, too short a drop can be even worse, it will result in slow, prolonged, torturous death by strangulation which is a horrible thing to witness for any witness, everyone is very tough in the comments, but I guarantee if they had to witness a botched hanging the vast majority would vomit or faint. Truth is, they think they are tough but they nothing of real war or punishment. It's all very well sitting in a comfortable place pointing fingers.. but they only know to what they're programmed to know. Regardless of what modern society believes of these men, they were true soldiers of their nation, and believed in their cause, something those who look down on them will never be. We can all talk now, in a different time, but nobody here has any idea, and these men went through, and saw happen to their country, then when Adolf Hitler rose to power, of course they felt it was a just cause.. under that period Germany thrived.

Another interesting thing about Albert Pierrepoint. He was said to be extremely fair and respectful of all the condemned that he executed. He believed that they all deserved basic decency and respect regardless of what they done.. also a quick death and no prolonged suffering, whether mental or physical, as soon as he opened the door he took the prisoner quick to get it over with soon as possible for them, and yes, I believe he was correct. As far as I'm aware, the British had coffins and buried the German men.. rather than cremate and dump them in an urn like the US did.. I very much disagree with how the German men were treated, those men deserved a proper burial. Even in ancient warfare like Greece and Rome people were normally allowed to collect and bury their dead and mourn.. I personally find it shameful that in 1945 the US did not even allow that to Germany. But, back to Pierrepoint, I heard a story, once when doing the German executions that they were one coffin short and someone suggested maybe put one man in on top of another and Pierrepoint was furious and said 'no bloody way, that man had paid for his crimes now, he is innocent as you or me, and he deserves a proper burial and coffin of his own' and if they didn't have another coffin there immediately he was quitting and he wouldn't do anymore jobs for them. Apparently he stood and guarded the body until they arranged another coffin. He was also said to execute SS-Helferin Irma Grese first as she was youngest (just a girl 22 years old) and most fearful so he wanted to get it over for her soon as possible as the longer she had to wait the worse it would be for her. I do respect things like this.

I love this guy's narration. Today most people sound overly dramatic, overly casual or overly dry.

Had a family member there. All my great uncles served during WW2. One thing they had in common, they all died from severe alcoholism. What they seen probably haunted them their entire life.

If Hermann Göring hadn't committed suicide on 15 October 1946 he and Alfred Rosenberg would have born and died on the exact same dates, both where born on 12 January 1893.

Didn't the documentary say that they told the officials in Munich who did the cremation of the bodies that these were 12 Americans whose families requested cremation. The officials that cremated the bodies were never told that they were cremating 11 Nazi bodies, hence the false American names on the wooden coffins.

@@ursulacatherinejohnson7411 Exactly. The idea was saying there were 12 bodies would throw anyone off ,Hearing that 11 nazis were hung the day before., then having 11 coffins show up, someone could put 2 and 2 together.
