What do you do? I was always interested in volunteering at hospitals to see if I would be interested

@@katiehuynh03 I've done multiple things in the hospital, I started out in transport where I would help patients coming in for appointments get to where they needed to go. I've helped out on regular floors where I give patients water. I've helped out in the APC where I would wipe down equipment (blood pressure cuffs and the bedside tables mostly) and change linens. I also gave patients drinks and snacks when they were cleared to eat and drink. Up until COVID, I was helping fill crash carts and putting gloves and wipes in rooms in the ICU. I think every hospital is different but regardless you're making a difference. I love being able to give back. I think you should definitely do it, I cant wait to go back once COVID is over.

@@katiehuynh03 idk how it is in america but i volunteered a while back and honestly most of the work is just organizing rooms for meetings and if the doctors need anything they'll call you-watching this show made me question my time volunteering bc if it's like that in america then europe needs to step up

@@alejandra7437 LOL this show is not accurate at all to what you do in the US as a volunteer. Volunteers are usually high school kids with no medical training (not even cpr) so we didn't do any patient care. I'm a nursing student in my final year of nursing & some of the stuff they show might be done by nursing students...but your professors or another nurse is always there to supervise you (you would never be left on your own to do cpr on a code blue patient!!).

@@mrbirdxxp8929 hahahah aw thank you, I honestly think it's because I have very strict health habits. I don't drink alcohol, coffee, soda, juice or tea. I drink only water and lots of it. I do intermittent fasting and only eat when I'm hungry. I only eat junk food on weekends. Also, I don't smoke. Hope that helps 😅
