Nursery Closet Organization: How to organize a baby's closet 

What a awesome system for mommies! I think this will be so user friendly. Love how it turned out!

Thank you so kindly, I took a variation of this idea and organized one of my great nieces closets in preparation for her new baby, she already has a 13 month old and the new baby is due any day. I used deep blue and dark lime green/ it was what the Dollar Tree had in stock. She said she loves it and I told her about you!

this is the best most practical system I have seen, when I saw it a year ago I knew I would use it and here I am 8 months pregnant organizing it right now, thanks so much

I am super into organized drawers but WOW this makes so much sense for a new mom who is 1. Exhausted 2. Probably holding baby in one arm. As a FTM about to be, I love these ideas!! We won’t have a dresser because of space and instead have a door/shelf cabinet we can use. I bought baskets at Michaels on major discount but I may change up for good old fashioned tree bins thanks to this.

One tip from a mom whose baby will be one tomorrow!! Buy a mesh bag to hang in/on the clothes hamper for little socks! They are easily lost! This system looks great! Love the no folding!

About 2 weeks ago I picked up some buckets from the $tree to put in my 3 yr olds closet! That way she can put her own bottoms away and not have to fold them. We also have a bar that is lower in the closet so she has access to her own dresses and shirts and can pick out her own clothing and she loves to help put them away. I LOVE the $tree for storage bins. In fact I think it was your channel that made me go to the $tree looking for storage containers in the first place!

This is a great idea! I love how you can easily transition the baskets and not having to fold the clothes is so much easier, especially for you and Charlie! More time to spend with your sweet baby boy! :)

OMG!! I wish I would have had this VALUABLE information when my kiddos were little!!! They are 6 and 7 1/2 right now so their clothes are bigger and kinda out of control!! If we are blessed again, I am FOR SURE using this system!! Thank you soo much for this video! :)

I am adopting so we have no idea if baby will come tomorrow or 8 months from now so I've been sorting all the hand me downs (both genders since we won't know until right before!). Love it. Although, I do believe that keeping it really simple and really easy are excellent things to do when organizing anything. I know I've found that the organizing systems that work best for me are the really simple & really easy ones.

Cool tips. BTW, we have 3 kids - and I would strongly suggest a "wipe warmer". Keeps wipes nice and warm and makes changing the baby less stressful. Also, a "noise maker" for sleep time works wonders. We used one with our last 2, and found that they slept through the night much faster. Finally - have a place for gifts that your receive that you might not use - but may want to give to someone else or return or exchange. Those types of things can quickly become clutter. Be blessed.

I looooooved my Moby wrap. We lived in it the first 6 months. My little one cried when she did´nt hear a heart beat. She would sleep and feed in the Moby and me, I´d do most things except driving ;)

My kids closet was very similar to yours when they were babies. The size of their clothing started outgrowing the bins so now I hang most of them. Love your color scheme! My Dollar Tree doesn't have the same bins...I wish they did!

Best alternative to a dresser I have seen and frees talk up for the more important snuggle, book reading time. Trying to incorporate this into my husband and I'd closer. We have a dresser with shallow drawers. Pairing down a bit is necessary, but then organizing closer is next need places for my purses, his under clothes/socks, bras, socks, sweaters,jeans. Yikes. Then comes the under and top of sink...my makeup. Put off for a long time but Im gathering courage from org gurus on YT. Thanks

Good question. The rod is drilled into 2 studs, so it is very secure. We will probably end up tying them back and up or removing them if it becomes too much.

So beautiful! Not only pretty to look at, but it will be fun putting stuff away! I used to get so frustrated when my babies outgrew something they never got to wear bc it was out of sight, out of mind. Your system will help that not happen :)

***GENIUS*** thinking-as usual. This will work great for other types of organizing too. If any items need to be seen but are small you can just line the basket with the appropriate-sized zip lock bag (my daughter's been looking for an inexpensive way to organize grooming stuff). Thanks! ; )

Like a few others, would love to hear how this system is working as Carson grows older! We're expecting baby # 2 in June and I'm just now putting the closet together. Wondering if you've found the system workable as he gets older? We don't have shelving in the closet, and I really don't want to spend money on shelves, but love this idea. Hope all is well!

All I can say is that no amount of organizing will prepare you for the arrival of your child. Systems are developed when they actually arrive. I thought I was organized before my boy came along, but they soon change that. Good on you for starting though, but don't expect this to be the only system that will work. Family life is constantly changing!

I think toy organizing should be a good video! Even as an infant, I'm sure he's going to get tons of new toys and stuff for his birthday, Christmas, random visits from friends and family, etc so that would help for future planning for you! Also, I have two little brothers, which I have to clean up after constantly when it comes to their toys and such, so it'll help your viewers like me too! =)

This is an amazing system! In the UK we don't tend to have 'closets' but the concept is amazing! You could become a professional organised for sure :-)

If you find that the markers wipe off too easily, you can use permanent markers and erase it with a eraser. I would try it before hand on a little corner, but that's my trick in my classroom with the stuff I laminate. Thank you for your video, I will be using lots of your little tricks!

Great idea I plan to use your system when I have a baby but here's a thought instead of putting the N closet in the basket below why not dump them into a box for donation to Goodwill.

I'm loving you're entire existence right now. I'm definitely going to try this. My only concern is that I'm temporarily staying with my grandma in her old house, and mice have been a reoccurring problem smh. I'm going to have to figure out how to copy this in a cabinet or something. I'd be heart broken and pissed if I found mouse droppings on my baby's stuff. I'm due next month!

Zooey572, I use a rubbery mat that sticks to the dresser to keep the pad from sliding around :)
