Your baby girls room is so beautiful, you did such a great job! Sounds like your all ready : ) The things I wished I would have packed with me to the hospital is my own pillow because theirs are flat and awful, and a heating pad. Heat was the one thing that helped with contractions a lot until I was able to get an epidural and their heat packs cool off really fast and were not always avaliable. Oh you might have this on your list too..... Just in case you don't, bring flip flops you can wear in the shower. Not sure if you will have one in your room. But your don't want to walk around bare foot and you can just wear them in the shower if you have one! xo
Beautiful nursery! My daughter was born at 9 lbs 10 oz. (they guessed about 8 lbs) and she grew out of newborn diapers before we even finished one box....so I wouldn't stock up too too much. Ya never know though. You can always order diapers online if you don't want to run. Can't wait to hear the news when she arrives!
My son was 9lbs 13oz! Same here! The doc kept telling me that he'd be around 8lbs at most and that I had just gained more weight than I realized) When he was born we had to send someone all the way back to our house to get 0-3 month size clothes because he didn't fit in any of the things we brought or stocked up on! They had to borrow diapers from NICU to fit him. We ended up having a whole box of newborn diapers we exchanged back at the store. Several we donated!
I hate giving comments like these, but it's meant with all the goodness in my heart. It is suggested to not use bumpers like that on your baby's crib for SIDS prevention. I cant give you numbers just like that, but there have been numerous cases of babies getting stuck in between their matress and bumpers and suffocating. If you're worried about the baby hitting her head on the crib, it's not that big of a problem compared to the risk you're taking... Anyway, just thought I'd tell you, it's up to you what you do with it. (: love you (=
Bumpers are tied on top and bottom pretty well aslong as its not loose it would be fine. I have two children both used bumpers on their cot and they were fine. I know it can happen but i think bumpers are pretty safe.
laura orekie they are tied to the crib, not the mattress. Babies can get between the mattress and the bumper (which can slide or get tugged down) getting stuck between those would be like lying face down into a pillow. How well would you be able to breath? It's one of those things if you use them you know the risk.
Give this comment a thumbs up so she can see it please!! Just some advice from a fellow mom to try and save you a headache. I heard that you say you need to stock up on newborn diapers, however if you have 1 case already that should be plenty for your baby! When my son was born he was an avg size (7 lb 15oz) and he grew out of newborn size diapers before we could even finish one box of them. I remember from previous videos that your dr thinks she will be a pretty good size little girl so I would highly recommend stocking up on size 1 diapers instead! We didn't even need a full case of newborn diapers but used size 1s until he was 5 months old! Stock up on size 1s and you won't have to worry about taking newborns back and exchanging them or wasting them if you can't make it through them all but have already opened the box. I'm a doctor. The swelling is normal. The growing baby and uterus compress the inferior vena cava and interfere with venous return from the lower extremities. Try to prop you feet up as much as possible. The pressure is everything stretching to make room for her to come out. It will get better soon!
Katherine, in your opinion how long roughly till Tiffany might go in to labour? ... I was just wondering because all the signs she is having and symptoms might indicate to Drs roughly how long before labour starts or could start. For me when I had these symptoms in both my pregnancies it was about 10 days. I was wondering if its about the same(ish) for all women
My friend is about 31vweeks she said her vagina feels swollen and that when she bent down the other day it felt like her vagina opened up. Is that normal at this stage ? Or should she be worried. I should add that she is a waitress and is on her feet a lot.
It was apparently a sign of pre eclampsia for me when I was pregnant, so I would really recommend she get checked out. I was induced early because of it.

Tiffany the nursery is absolutely amazing! These comments are hilarious! Do NOT listen to anyone trying to give you advice but in the same sentence say "I'm giving advice from my heart". People will judge you for everything and anything. You're the mom, use your heart and judgement. Using crib bumpers is fine, Waylon in the room is fine, the crib is fine, the blanket is fine. Lord can't people just enjoy the video without having to make critical judgments and comments. Yall crack me up.
I love Waylon! He knows he'll be a big brother soon! Golden Retrievers are amazing with children. My parents had a Husky when I was born and he and I were best friends. We loved each other. I'm sure Waylon will be the same :)

Her room looks so warm and inviting! It's so obvious how much you and Brad care about your little one. The crib is gorgeous and I bet it was a process to put together, but I worry that your baby girl will bonk her head on the hard metal crib and glass/metal dresser. :( it may seem trivial now, but at 9-12 months when she's holding herself up to stand, she will definitely bonk her head on things, and wood is definitely softer (and warmer) than metal or glass. My aunt had her twins break a glass coffee table once! Luckily everyone was safe but it was scary nevertheless. I wish you guys all the best. So much love and warmth being sent your way.
Don't forget phone/camera/laptop chargers if you're taking those kinda things :) A pair of " Regular" panties, afterwards You're not gonna want anything like a thong right away, they give you pretty big maxi pads to wear after birth. Just make sure you don't care if they get stained, cause they might. Plus a robe that you don't care about it getting messy... I love the nursery it's absolutely stunning!... Pretty and functional nursery, if your planning on breastfeeding I'd get a little table to put next to your chair for a glass of water and your Breast pads , when you breastfeed you'll find out your extremely thirsty all the time and you leak for the first few weeks or months if your like me

Beautiful baby room! That little picture that you showed with the bear, the one you have to hang up, I had that same picture in my room when I was little and I hung it in both my daughter's rooms when they were little. When I was pregnant with my second child I had a LOT of trouble with my feet swelling. Someone told me to try drinking lemonade made with real lemon juice and it worked like a charm!! Especially when you're really far along, your body tends to retain more water and the lemonade helps your body get rid of it. I'm so excited that she's almost here!! :)

Hi Tiffany, One last thing I would pack in your bag (if you haven't already) is some snacks for you and your hubby. I gave birth in the middle of the night and had no food until the morning. Labor is exhausting and you can't eat while laboring. I was starving!!! I would have died for a granola bar. Pack a few snacks just in case. After labor you will be hungry! Good luck and best wishes!
That nursery is like my dream room - as a teenager! That little nook area is to die for, and something I've never seen in homes around me. Feel like it'd be perf for tea & a book :) And the furniture is so so nice, and same with the closet! Also, i'd lovee to see that hidden playroom. Even though i'm not a child i feel like i'd still use that little passageway! Haha.

Yes! Totally agree. Even if you're not nursing there at the beginning. My baby is 8 months and I still always have to have my water, phone, etc. next to me.
This is such a pretty nursery! And even also I think the room is kind of a fun "shape" for when you're older like a teenager you have your desk area like private and the hidden play room is so cool we need to see it!! :)
Just a quick tip but those hair ties are great to where for breast feeding. I saw another you tuber use them. She wears them on the same wrist as the breast she last fed on to make sure she remembers which one she last used. Not sure if you plan to breast feed but I always thought that was a great idea for those hair grips! Please bump up so Tiff can see this :)! Lots of love and blessings on her arrival!

I cant believe how fast the past near on 9 months have gone.. well for us it has gone fast, maybe not for you though sweetheart. All the symptoms you are describing I had roughly 2 weeks before my daughters were born (separate pregnancies I should say) I also notice your breathing is a little more shallow (especially when you're standing or walking) where your lungs are being squished a bit by baby, of course all perfectly normal for a mum to experience. Here is my tip for things you need in your hospital bag. Old bloomers and Poise Ultimate Absorbancy pads. Yes you read that right. Those pads you buy for incontinence. After giving birth, there is so much stuff that comes out down there, you don't want to have to run to the potty to check your bloomers every little bit. Rather you have a c-section like I did, or do it au'natural. You are going to have some heavy leaking. THe incontinence pads work so much better for absorbing everything that nature sends out and they usually cover a much larger area. Those nurses are going to come in and mash your stomach about every hour for the first several hours after birth and those help tons and tons. And the old bloomers thing...well that should be self explanitory. Sending prayers, good thoughts, and painless vibes your way for the birth of your little girl!
One word DEPENDS!!I know this sounds weird but an older nurse told this to me before I gave birth to my oldest .... Bring depends. I know,, I know but the pads that they give you the hospital are horrible and very uncomfortable to walk in and the fish net panties are no better. Trust me I have told all of my girlfriends and they give me weirs looks but then they send there husbands out to get depends after they giving birth because they finically realize that I was right!!
You DO NOT need a baby wipe warmer- seriously people!!! And as others have said, as nice as bumpers are, they are against SIDS guidelines- again, i mean this nicely!

It may sound crazy but get a big 'ol exercise/stability ball. It is the best for soothing a fussy baby. You sit on it, hold her and bounce! Get a big one since you're tall. Congratulations! My baby girl was due Jan. 20th last year.. The first couple months were rough but then the time flies!
My baby only used newborn diapers for like a weak or two if I remember correctly. Not sure how big your baby is now but if she is measuring big I would not be too worried about newborn diapers :)
The room is lovely, you're so talented at decorating! I don't know if Waylon is psychic- he's probably smelling different chemicals that you're releasing now, like different hormone levels.
also, UGH at all the commenters that are nagging about the tiniest little "safety hazard." Your nursery looks wonderful and you're a smart mom already knows how to keep your baby safe. Come on people, she's not stupid.
Honestly my contractions didn't actually become "painful" until around 3 1/2 to 4 cm. and it just feels like tightening of your muscles but the squeeze continually gets tighter as you dilate if that makes sense lol. Also not to freak you out but I didn't get any stretch marks until I was one day shy of 40 weeks but THEN I got quite a few more during labor. So my little bit of advice to you is to lotion your belly before you leave for the hospital if you get the chance and if you feel itchy ask them to remove the monitors for a moment if all is well and slather a little on because I will testify it is possible to get all your stretch marks at once during labor and it can be quite a surprise once all is settled lol. But your nursery is beautiful congratulations on your pregnancy and I wish you a blessed and easy labor and delivery enjoy motherhood it's truly something special. :) take care
Your description of your nights just brought me back! Ugh it was the worst. Every hour and then you would dread even getting up because of the pressure. My daughter was so so low ever since the beginning so I never got a break with that. I am sooo happy for you both. Also, I am in love with the nursery. I hope you plan on keeping that as her room always, because not only will it be perfect for a toddler, but itll be even more perfect when she gets older. That room is any teenage girls dream! I'm jealous of it, I'd kill for a room with those built in bookshelves and desk, especially with the two little storage rooms / built in play room on the side. I can see it now, that desk area is gonna go from having coloring books and crayons on the shelves to sigma brushes and naked palettes in no time! (Well, if 16 years is no time, but I'm sure itll seem that way for her) Gosh, I remember when I first started watching your videos, you were one of the first girls I watched. You and pancea ahah but thinking back on all your super old videos.. I feel like it was just yesterday when watched your video on how to make your eyes look bigger and brighter, but that was five years ago! It makes me feel.... old.
I know it sounds funny but when my feet would swell I would lay backwards in my bed with my feet up on the wall above my head! It would really relieve the pressure and tightness. Drinking a LOT of water and minimal salt intake helped tremendously! Bless your heart I feel for you as this is the hardest time. xoxo She will be here faster than you realize.

If you are sensitive to smells bringing an air freshener to the hospital might be nice (like a wallflower from Bath and Body Works). I know the times I've been at the hospital the smell was umm interesting? :-)
beautiful room.......wayyyyyy too much stuff and you wont use most of it but I over bought for my first too. things are so cute. for toys...try to stay away from all the plastic stuff/Disney monopoly.....start building a good set of playmobil and build on it...my 3 girls literally played with those sets till they were 8-10...so creative. of course she needs to start with the age appropriate size..I put all the itty bits away till it was safe. find a good toy shop vs toysrus. thinking of you and trust all will go well
You are right to be proud of the nursery mommy,It is a fairy tale. I love the story bout your doggy ,they truly know all that is going on so sweet ,He will need lots of( good boy)after baby just so he knows you love him still.All the best to you, Your daughter could not ask for a more loving mommy.
The nursery is beautiful! Make sure and get some black, white, and red toys as baby's vision isn't clear for awhile and the contrasting colors will be clear first. Make sure you report all your symptoms to your MD - they may want to do a urinalysis just to be on the safe side.
I had to wear compression socks at the end of my pregnancy. You really have to make a conscious effort to elevate your legs at this point if you're getting a lot of swelling. The nursery is so adorable! You definitely need to stock up on diapers and wipes. You can never have too many, and you can always exchange unopened containers for ones in the next size up if you need to. :)
Can you show how you hung the mobile? I have the RH baby felt bunny mobile for our little girl (I'm a week behind you), and I'm not quite sure how to hang it.

Soft hinges help with toy boxes. Even if she will jot play with them for a long time. Put them in now so you dont get. My little on was on her feet at 8 months and was getting in to everything. And you'll blink and she'll be walking.

I would also recommend sticking some cash and change in your little pouch. That way you can hit the vending machine after the delivery if it's late and the cafe is closed. You'll probably be starving! Brad can also use the cash for vending machines and the cafe when he gets hungry or thirsty! :)
One thing that I was glad I packed in my bag was a small change purse with change for the vending machine just incase anyone wanted something we didn't have to search for change.
Oh my goodness i want her room for myself I'm 16 and I can see her absolutely loving it when she is a teenager :') and the desk where she can do her homework :)

BEAUTIFUL nursery! I just love it. I had B/H contractions for weeks before labor with both of my pregnancies (which made for nice fast deliveries), and with the first pregnancy, I always wondered how I'd know the difference between those and real contractions. Trust me, you'll KNOW the difference! LOL.
I'm glad you said your braxton hicks resulted in a faster labor. I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and have had a ton for weeks along with cramping. I keep saying I hope this means labor will progress faster for me.

I had BH since 25 weeks with my first and delivered at 38 weeks and have been having them since 16 weeks with this pregnancy. I hope I will have another relatively quick and not overdue delivery. And yes. You will definitely know when real labor contractions start!
Thank you! Wow that's amazing! I hope I am that lucky. The braxton hicks contractions just keep getting more intense for me each day. I feel like it has to be doing something! My cervix was starting to thin out at 35 weeks and I was nearly put on bed rest. I feel like if I were to go to the mall and walk all day I might end up having a baby in the mall lol.
I had braxton hicks contractions starting at around 20 weeks with both of my pregnancies. I had tons of them on a regular basis and it didn't help me at all. I never dialated or thinned out with either one. I even had my membranes stripped twice trying to bring on labor with my son and nothing worked. We ended up doing a c-section.
I feel you on the getting up to go to the bathroom! I sleep fine and am comfortable in the bed, but when I first stand up out of the bed, the pain and pressure! Ahhhh! Definately doing the pregnant waddle for a bit, and then once I'm up and moving it eventually subsides. I'm almost 30 weeks, but this is baby #2 for me, so everything happens a bit faster it seems with the second, including the pregnancy in general. It's flown by! My first was a little girl, her name is Paisley Mae, and this little one is a girl as well, Annistin Belle! Congratulations! You're in the final stretch :)
Awww thanks so much! We like unique names, but nothing too crazy :) we live in the south and I think they both have very southern Belle sounding names!
