Wow! Don’t quit if your bad at math and spelling, you may just have to study a little more and work harder? If anyone ever tells you to quit or give up on your dreams get away from them. They are having a lot of internal issues! Also don’t take it personal. Negative and self conscious people put others down to elevate themselves, more times than not it has nothing to do with you or whomever they are using as a step ladder. It varies between nursing programs on what classes you have to take. Most BSN programs require you take English, info tech etc. as pre-reqs to get into their program. I would look at the class requirements of a nursing program you want to attend and see what classes you will have to take. Thanks for watching the video!

Jen Tuesday I was wondering this myself

The prerequisites for an Associates can take you maybe like a year and a half depending on how many courses you take each semester. I am taking all my basics for the Associates and Bachelors and I believe I will finish next fall semester and it took me 2 years.

Jen Tuesday it usually takes a year if you go to school full time. The ones that take most of your time are the science classes A&P 1 and 2 chemistry and biology. You have to pass one I other to move to the next one. It also depends on the requirements for the college you plan to attend. I will be starting this spring and if I pass all my classes I should be able to apply for the nursing program. It’s a weighted grade. You take the TeAS in which you have to score 50 or higher. They combine your grades, gpa and teas score. They accept a certain amount t of students with the highest grades.

Hello Clarie! A good book to use as a study guide for biology is called "Biology for Dummies"...it is a great refresher and can help you prep for the class. You could also use the book to help you prep for your exams. Check Amazon.com for the best deals and try to go with a used edition to save money. I hope that helps...best wishes. You would need to enroll in a community college to take prereqs. Some of those classes are online depends on what school.

I'm also doing dual enrollment and I'm pretty sure you might have to take more prereqs even after graduation. However, if you take the required prerequisites during DE you could have a shot at getting into a program, though you'll probably be at a disadvantage to other applicants. It really all depends on the program or school.

Yeah dude just apply to community college and start taking the pre requisite courses for their nursing program and if you pass those you can focus on studying for the entrance exam to officially be a nursing student. I recommend everyone look into community college LPN programs to start off. It’s a lot of work but I think it’s achievable for people from most walks of life and you can be making a live-able wage within 2 years in most cases. Hope this helps!

It varies depending on the requirements set by the school (every program is different). I would look up a school you want to attend and see what they have listed for the requirements. Best wishes on the GED when you take it :)
