❤️ Thank you so much for watching, I highly recommend watching this video next: 💥 Day In The Life Of A CRNA: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0r_-bkdAqMs.html
Hello Thrive CRNA, I’m a recent nursing graduate with an associates. I’ve always been interested in CRNA but haven’t been able to get into an ICU residency. I fortunately was able to get a job in OR starting next month which still let’s me be close to an anesthesiologist and get a better understanding of it. I’m ready to go back to school and continue my education to one day become a CRNA. You are inspiring a lot of people. Keep the videos up :)
Thanks for your comment. It is great that you will get experience in the OR. This will allow you to shadow, speak with anesthesiologist and CRNA's as well observe anesthesia practice daily. When you get at least 6 months to 1 year of experience, I would recommend transferring to the ICU. Keep inspired, positive and motivated. Dreams come with sacrifice.
Thanks for the video. In Nursing school now. My OSCE experiences have been great but I struggle with med administration procedures for some reason. I know this is critical to being a successful nurse. I graduate in May, hopefully my struggles with med administration won't in simulated environments won't translate to me becoming a successful CRNA in the future.
I have spoken to people about my interest in CRNA, they tell me oh no you have to have ALL A’s in undergrad and nursing. They all say it’s SO hard. I just ignore them I’m going to keep pursuing my dreams
I keep hearing the CRNA career will become obsolete or replaced by robots or even AAs in the within 10 years or so. Since you are in the field, do you see the outlook slowing down within the next few years?
Its such a specific skill set and a robot wouldn't be able to do the work on each specific patient with their own anatomy. There is a reason ICU (critical care) experience is a requirement for CRNA field. Robots don't have the judgment humans do, sorry.
Hi, Thrive CRNA! I’m a BSN in Ortho, I received average grades in nursing school (average B student). I’ve applied for ICU positions, but always get denied. Is there any chance for someone like me, an Orthopaedic nurse, to enter my dream nursing program of CRNA? I want to not give up, but I don’t feel like my background is strong enough. Thank you.
I would recommend applying to different facilities for your ICU experience. You should not give up. Keep applying to different places. I would recommend a teaching hospital for RN residency program for ICU nursing.
