In episode 3 we meet the Hussains where dad Abdul is more interested in doing his hair then helping with the house work. Next are the McCarthys where mum Nicola has to get through 16 loads of washing a week whilst dad Martin spends most of it in the gym.
In each episode, two mums pack up their things and move out of the family home for a week, leaving two spectacularly inept Dads to look after the kids. Dad stays at home, mum stays in a luxury health spa. Whilst examining and debating everything that dad says or does, mum’s only communication comes twice a day: anonymous improvement notes arrive after breakfast; a dreaded phone-call comes last thing at night. Guided by an objective narrator, the viewer is shown the big dramas without ruining the action.
