Love this pointless review. Love that single cab. 1978 camper is my favorite, and mine needs a new 2 L, it came with the factory accessories tow bar....oh yea baby ! Champagne Edition....get the parts Rainman (the guy who sold you Red) on again for CE only parts...

I am an owner of a 68 double cab and a 79 Westy. Yes the 79 is just so much better of a driver, it “flies” down the highway, it can cruise up hills and I can trust it to go just about anywhere. My 68 however feels like a tin can in comparison. Do I love my 68? Yes. Do I actually prefer my 68? Yes (for the nerd factor). I do like the early bay for the design and simplicity, much easier to work on.

A couple of other detail differences from an early to late bay: Sliding door, the lock and outside handle. The engine lid. The tailgate lock completely different although the shape of the tailgate is the same. Fuel filler and tank breather system completely different. The list goes on.....and on...and on....!

Ok, I'm getting one when the garage is done. Working on it!
