Since we were unsuccessful during our May trip we decided to go back to North Dakota for redemption with my brother, sister in law and nephew. This time we were successful.

I don’t bank fish but where I live. A lake with only 25% of public land was closed off due to trash left. Don’t want to say it but the majority of bank fisherman that I see are Hmong too.

I love seeing the catching, the cleaning, preparation, and the dishes, outstanding, my lake is loaded with them too, I catch them along with crappie. The larb and spicy soup, that is delicious. When my wife's parents were living, that is how she prepared for her father, well, he passed and she still does the same and take it to the cemetery. You would think she is going to an outing, did not know the deceased could it all that food.

Thank you for your kind words. Sometimes people forget the purpose of fishing/hunting. It’s all about preservation of the animal, paying respect for their purpose in life. Glad that your wife and you still honor the deceased by making what they love to eat and how they like it. That is something that only a handful of people will still do nowadays. I’ve noticed from Outdoor activities (camping, fishing & hunting). That if there are trash around, 75-80% were left by classless Hmong people.
