HI! just to let you know if you like this video and wants to show your appreciation, you can buy me a cup of coffee with the "Thanks" button which is just next to the share button! ✌❤
Wow...$299 sounds incredibly reasonable for an all-in-one stompbox with all those connections plus the ability to route effects...PLUS you can load in IR's???!!! Wow!
Sir Jonathan you are the only youtuber who explained this clearly other channels are so confusing your explanation is so helpful and no nonesense Thanks Sir😊❤
I love my Helix. But I've been wanting to play with my amp again sometimes. This seems a quick option. Your playing is as heavenly as always.Well Done !
I love this unit, you´re right Jonathan, this unit shines with a real amp and maybe other stompboxes like a comp or a wah pedal depend on the taste of the person, nux called this unit as a "Integrated Effects", so that is the idea it is a versatile unit.
Wow ! That vega trem is amazing it’s great to see the extra confidence you have in it. I like the layout of the Cerberus. The tones for the price sound great to me. The CE chorus in particular sounded great. At one stage it sounded like “is this love” by Whitesnake. This really is a fascinating golden age of gear isn’t it. Thanks for quite a comprehensive and interesting review Jon 😀👍👍
Great little device. Last year i bought a little portable rig containing this, a small 1 Channel Laney Cub12 and a Epiphone ES 339. All at once, brand new. My bandmates i play with for 25 + yrs. say i never sounded that good. With JCMs, Boogies, Hughes & Kettners and all kinds of guitars gone by. Can hardly go wrong with that thing.
@@mattgilbert7347 Hey! My brother from another mother 😂 Sounds great. You're giving me ideas, i think there must be a Vintage 30 laying around here somewhere. I'll give it a shot, TY. I thought about a Alnico Blue months ago but forgot about it.
Hi Jon. I bought this unit about a year ago and Love it! My only complaint is that I don’t get enough Gain out of the Overdrive Channel. Great Review my Friend! Please keep up the Good Work, Love you Channel and Content! Cheers from Salem, Ohio US! Please have a Great Day my Friend!
Hi Jon, Thanks for sharing this video, it was really helpfull when selecting my pedalboard. I bought a used Nux Cerberus and I use it as a standalone directly do the Mixing table for small gigs using the cab simulator and it has a great sound. Very organic and realistic. Looking forward to buy some valves and transformer for my dead Peavey Delta Blues 115 to try this baby as a stompbox using the 4CM
Nice Vid Jon! I’ve had this unit for some months now and just love it! Please keep up the Good Work! Oh, also got my HB Natural Fusion T HH and also love it! Cheers from Salem, Ohio US!
Hey Jon, I bought one last week and so far Im loving it. The Klon and other pedals are sitting back in the box and so far Im happy. EXCEPT.. I cant figure out how to use the CTRL switch to turn the boost on and off when in Preset Mode..
Greetings from Colombia and really nice vid! I just have one cuestion: I bought a Wah, ¿Where and how should I connect It? I'd really appreciate your feedback. Keep on rockin'!
Excellent review, I only wish you would show the power cable and wall wort . None of the demo-ists show the power which I am guessing is a flimsy skinny wire attached to a large obnoxious wall-wort. right?
I could probably eliminate a few pedals with this and maybe simplify things. I split off into a Fender tube amp and a Boss programmable amp, takes some tweaking, but really cool sound I can't get from one amp.
Hey you are one of my fav reviewers/players thx. A question if I may. I have an old RP355. I am moving towards Amp in a box for core tone and pedal based drives. I have a Petty John Gold which will act as a amp in this context. I don’t gig and will only play through my mixer and monitors. Missing in the chain are modulation effects, good IR Can sim, and a good looper. I am using my old RP355 to bridge these gaps but I don’t I am getting the best out of my pedals without an IR? Between this one and newer MG300 which you also reviewed which one will get better sounds out of my setup? If MG300 IR and sound quality is of same level as Cerberus, it saves me from having to buy a looper pedal separately. But I am not sure if MG 300 can take pedals well without clipping. I even have a TC tube driver pedal which I like to use. Thx.
Hey there Jonathan! Did you have any noise issues using the Cerberus? The amount of noise that it produces is equal to a common pedalboard? Thank you very much!!
Hi John great review as always , I'm interested in getting this pedal to go with my VHT D-50 amplifier which is a affordable dumble clone, but my question is does it give a very good clean tone without gain or will it affect the clean tone of that amp , it's getting a very good clean tone right now using it with a 10 band joyo eq pedal and I'm concerned that weather this pedal might affect that by introducing it in thorough the front of the amp , I would of course use the modulation effects through the effects loop but primarily I'd like to keep the tone as clean as possible unless using the overdrive or distortion
Greeting! Is it possible to make the same sound for example: distortion (with very little drive) delay, reverb on one switch, and on the other switch the same sound (so the same distortion), but with many more drives? Thank you 🙂
Hello. I would like to know how to adjust the volume of the boost pvb (+3 db by default) in manual mode. I have adjusted it from the software, but it is not saved once I turn off the unit. Thank you very much!
hello, can i put some of my favorite pedals inside the chain? I don't mean guit..ts9,,,chorus, and then enter the Cerberus. I mean to insert them and also that they appear when I use the preset mode. the rear panel shows something like this for distortions and also aside, for delays and modulations. Is that some kind of send/return for pedals (plus a loop for amp in and out?
1) The overdrives are voiced too dark 2) Mods like Phaser and Univibe sound way better pre-gain 2) The MIDI is useless 4) No external tap? 5) It needs a preamp in the loop to sound decent 6) Everything sounds like the 80s when using this unit (and not the Indie 80s, I mean stuff like commercial radio soft-rock 80s) and it's hard to dial out. Using own drives/distortion/fuzz recommended. A comp (as mentioned in the video) or wah makes for some good tones. 7) Preset mode disables tap tempo 8) The Ctrl ALWAYS defaults to reverb Props to Jonathan for the Laney VC30 in the background. Had one forever, only been serviced once. Total workhorse, sounds good, takes every pedal known to man or woman.
Blue Matrix no.. on the contrary I liked the cab sim on the cerberus.. like I’ve explained in the video.. it would be better off there was some kind of amp simulation in the unit in conjunction with the cab sim/ irs.
Just know that it’s not a $120 Chinese Tele.. it’s Indonesian made. And why must be a cheap“Chinese” make? Not all Chinese made guitars are bad or cheap.
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Harley Benton guitars are manufactured in around 20 factories in the Far East in China, Indonesia and Vietnam. The price varies from $85 - $400 USD. The $200 ones (Tele) are the most popular. You really have to call that cheap. Not necessary bad, yes. The one you are playing sounds awful good.
@@fk1028 I do know that.. I’m just tired of the term’ cheap Chinese guitars “ and it’s because I’ve seen some really good Chinese made guitars that are not cheap. My point is this particular guitar that I’m playing is not really cheap like 120... for some people, their world view has to change.✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud If your HB is a Pro series then it'll go as hi as $360. Add shipping to it and it is not cheap by China guitar standard but it is still very cheap compare to the named brands like the Fender MX Tele player or Squire models. Models reviewed in U-tube have not got to a $400 China guitar yet. They are still at < 200 range.
