Glad you also had the writing on the screen. For those of us who are red/green colour blind just looking at the pedal switcher would have been impossible to tell which pedal was on or off.
One major difference here in sound is that the MG-30 is outputting stereo, and has a very noticeable stereo space, either in the reverb, cab, IR, or something which is "3D-ing" the sound. If you switch your speakers to mono then the two pedals are more similar, though still a fair bit more crisp on the MG30.
The Mg300 sound quality is good enough for me. I only wish there was some better ways to switch multiple fx on/off within a patch(a la stomp box mode) I would pay more money for that...
Having the MG300 and now I got the MG30, I do notice a big difference in sound, not that the MG 300 sounds bad but the MG 30 is like listening in HD, more clarity and tighteness in the sound. I use them through the FX Loop of a Katana MKII, also with 3rd Party IRs. Great and helpful comparisson.
The MG30 is definitely a nice upgrade to the 300. Great comparison, really like that they used their more premium IR's with bias adjustments on the 30.

I would love to be able to stack compression effects for building Gilmour- type tones. My work around for that is using a clean-ish boost with a little gain in front of the compressor. It comes out good, but not as perfectly as stacked compressors do.
Another great informative video.Can the Bias of the tube simulation be adjusted on the actual unit it's self? Or only using the software? Also will the software work on a Windows 10 format? Thanks
Theres like no nux mg 30s in stock nearby or shipping from where i live currently but im in a hurry to get either so will the nux mg300 be sufficient for live performances ?
The MG300 seems to have a more digitally compressed signal, which may be indicated in the dynamic range being less in the 300 vs the 30. One of the predictable outcomes of that condition is that the 300 will sound a bit darker, which is in fact what others have noticed about some of these comparison videos. My question: Is it possible to use a global setting and get the two units sounding closer to each other over all? I am mainly thinking EQ settings.
Great comparison and work you do! I'm wondering about controlling the MG-30 or MG-300 by a MIDI controller? Do they work with for example Behringer FCB1010 or Harley Benton MP-100? I know MG-30 is deliveded with an additional footswitch, but I'm asking about more advanced controlling or using them in stomp mode.

I wonder how you feel about these pedals a couple of years down the track? Of course the mg30 is twice the price and has better specs, but how do you REALLY feel about the sound? As you know there's some cheap pedals from the past that sell for a fortune nowdays, because they just sound excellent, and there's expensive pedals that are now a dime a dozen. Sometimes higher up in the line and mote expensive rrp doesnt always mean better sound. I understand that you may be sponsored by nux, but in all honesty, I really feel that the mg300 just sounds awesome, and im not the only 1. I have both and ive tweaied the sh!t out if the mg30's eq's both in and out, and I just cant get it to sound as good as the mg300. Something very very special about it. In 20 years i think the mg300 will be the sort after pedal and command a bigger price than the mg30. Its just one of those odd pedals that has the magic. Id really love to hear your thoughts please my friend.
I've used the NUX Solid Studio and loaded Ownhammer IR's onto it and it sounds great, even at 44.1kHz - other modelers start running at 48kHz on up. I was tempted to get a second Line 6 HX Stomp for my IEM set up, but I think I'll save the extra few hundred bucks and get this unit instead - no XLR or midi on the MG30, but again it's about the price tag and what it can do.
There is a difference. I sped through that pretty in the interest of time. When you stack the muff before the tube screamer you can absolutely hear the difference
Good video, but if you forget bass and acoustic additions, don't they have the same number of guitar amps and the 30 has less guitar cabs than the 300?
How many preloaded patches does the MG30 have and how many free slots does it have for loading your own patches ? There doesnt seem to be ANY information from NUX in the owners manual or their website.Thanks you for sharing your information on youtube most informative.
I'll have to check on the number of factory presets. Whatever that number is, there's an equal amount of user slots. So, for example 128 factory presets = 128 user presets.

All due respect, I just don't appreciate the extra mowing of the lawn. Once an opinion is stated that's fine, we get it. Personally, I like both of these. I wouldn't back NuX as much as I do if I didn't think they were good. Solid sounds, solid features, solid price. It really is a great world we live in.

I cannot understand how much the improvements of the mg30 like the 32-bit conversion are more important than the balanced outputs of the ampero. also from the videos I do not understand which one sounds more faithful to the touch. I would use it at home often without using a PC.

Nice demo, thanks. But...too much reverbs and your guitar is little out of tune... 30 and 300 sound different...it's ok... I like 30 little more... But... how it sounds in completely record? This is very important. I don't listen whole recording...
Both the Nux mg 30 and the mg 300 is sounding very good😊....But...there is a but...all those digital modellers are always killing the digital signal and the organic sound is gone😑 God for it purpose but my old VOX pathfinder amp sounds better😊👍 organic i mean.....and the pathfinder is transistor amp😊
bought mg300 for less than 50$ used in mint condition. Best value between price and sound quality and it is also sound interfaice with reamping... in 32bit for less than 50$... future is easy))
