Excellent demo. Appreciate that you mic'd up the unit rather than using the direct out. Also appreciate how much time you must have spent learning the best settings to get the best sounds out of the unit. Most other reviewers were way over driving the amp making it sound fizzy. Your video seems a much more accurate representation of the unit.

man these digital amps keep getting better, now if your in a band this might not be the most ideal for a gig, but at home this thing would be a kids wet dream. there's also another benefit with amps that are packed with lots of different effects, it can sometimes cause inspiration to come up with new riffs. we are so blessed today, but imagine what all these famous bands had to do to come with things. because pedals weren't so popular in the 60's and 70's, so you got amps like this that has all this stuff for a fraction of the cost.

Now I’m wishing I bought this instead of the spark amp. The acoustic guitar simulator and the Bluetooth or wireless dongle and the option to put into my laptop to record was a plus.

This is a great upgrade to the original Nux Mighty BT. Recently got the Positive Grid Spark and love the features on it, but the sound has too much bass on any given tone. There is a boxy sound and also sounds muffled, almost like a blanket/pillow is over the speaker. Debating to just return/sell it and get the Mighty Air instead.

@@guardianobserver6593 I ended up selling it and got the Nux Mighty Plug, I line out into a speaker if I need to but mainly play with headphones on. Very much happier with Nux!

@@AxemanMessiah Thank you. I have the "Harley benton, classic rock" for headphones but I can't stand the fealing of them on my head and also the cable bothers me. May the nux mighty air is the ideal solution for me.

have the mp2 bluetooth. wish they had this with that plug to use with this or with a phone when out and about. also the no input from charge is a pitfall being most people like to be able to use mixer. should have charge only port.that way can play with cable when charging wireless and support mixer. cool product but room for improvement.

though i want a display to sync direct with bluetooth version of mp2. may just put a tuner/headphone amp and cheap bluetooth sync in backplate with some 1/4 extension risers and try and find a battery pack that can be charges from wireless wall charger behind. as proof of concept. put tuner around quarter jack with letters and tone meter. want to make internal no electrical mod version that is a hole from 1/4 area to back plate and uses screwdown with existing jack but under the cover so easy to remove and minimal damage. direct to reciever bluetooth and fx control with back display and wireless wall charging when hanging. and 1/8 mini for headphones or mic in on computer if not turned on. think auto bypass relay when off.

replace transmitter with a nux mp2 and it would be awesome. make 4 ch. mp2 does fx so if 4 ppl have this then each has own fx when band plays together. also bluetooth is multi client so people. just add cellphone disply to control software gain on each bt channel from a control phone.

The Mighty Air is best as a desktop / portable use anywhere amp. It sounds best at low volumes (bedroom levels) If that's the volume you are playing at I would go for the Mighty Air. If you want higher than talking volume I would go with the Mighty 20 BT 👍

@@guardianobserver6593 For practice, nux is enough. I think nux has pretty good electronics and software, but it failed to transcend certain laws of physics. From such small speakers the sound without mixing sounds like from a slightly better radio from the 90's. Only with an app on your phone you can get more out of it. I also have a Vox adio air gt. The sound is very good. Unfortunately it has bigger dimensions.

The Mighty Air has FX already built in. The Nux MG300 is an Amp modeller with Amp models ,FX and pedals built in. It’s basically an amp without a speaker, it’s designed for plugging into a computer speaker / studio speaker or mixing desk for recording o playing live. The Mighty Air is an all in one solution which includes most of the things the MG300 has but also has a speaker and wireless functionality. They wouldn’t really complement each other, they each do their own thing 👍

I've seen videos about the amp, but they never talk about a question I have. In other videos they show that in the application there is a section where you can choose from among some songs to put in the background in the amplifier while you play, my question is, can you add songs to the catalog of the application taking songs that you have loaded in the cell phone or can you only choose from the songs that are previously loaded in the application?

You can't add to the catalogue however, you can bluetooth connect to the amp and use it as a speaker for your smartphone. So play the song through the speaker. Then play as normal over the top with guitar 👍

Looks good!!.. Does it actually sound as good as this?? I find it hard to believe that it would??. But Like the idea of a great guitar sound, in such a mobile and tiny amp.. Send me one to try and I will video my results and conclusions? Thanks

Yes it does sound this good. The only caveat is that the speaker doesn't have a lot of headroom so it starts to clip before maxing out on the volume.

Mighty Air is Wireless, has a rechargeable internal battery and is stereo. The Mighty Lite Bt has one speaker and runs off wall power or standard batterys 👍

Hey there, i know its been a 3 year old video but i just got the mighty air as a gift and i was wondering why all the amps you are showing in the video are missing in my app like optima and plexi and so on.did they removed a lot of features in the last year or is there a version you have to pay for or maybe different on ios and android?im lost.did the firmware update and nothing changed.

Hi, that’s weird. I just re-downloaded the app (on iOS) and everything is still there for me. Don’t see a reason why android should have less amps. Might be one to ask Nux. Strange 😕

Unfortunately the app is crap! It just works on some android versions (e.g. got it running on 6 and 8) but not in others (e.g. on 10 it always asks to enable GPS, while this is already on). On some resolution, the first two tabs are so far shifted to the right, that they are unusable. I'll send it back for the blackstar fly 3.

Nope. No tuner, but I’m thinking/hoping that it would be easy to open up a tuning app on one’s phone and use that to tune.
