Insomnia struck, I'm here 2AM listening to not only your review but the best five minutes of intro jamming I've heard since, well Crazy Diamond I guess. Everything after that is a bonus I say. Keep it up Dave, not only are you a fantastic talent but the best gear reviewer as well. Whoa, forgot therapist! Lol. Keep it up and have a fantastic day!
Yeh man awesone playing , caught a little Trower-esque touches when you were on the dirt patch . Very nice . I am test one of these now and its a keeper . Love your approach to unlocking tones in this unirlt and I plan ob using it in a similar way . Thank you for the inspiring video !
Thank God, I always trust Dave's reviews. Ive been curious about these other brand modelers. The tech is getting so damn good. I feel guilty spending cash on the high end gear, especially considering I can purchase One & and Back up of ther cheapOs. Thanks for always being awesome
It reminds me of the Line 6 m9 which is one of my favourite multifx out there. I've tried a few of the NUX pedals - especially the mini ones with the multiple modes (the lacerate boost is basically a discounted version of the keeley katana, I've had both there is a tiny difference) - I can imagine the effects in this thing are absolutely on point.
Nice review! I just got a Digitech RP360XP a few months ago, and I really like it. I can plug in control pedal so I can have more controls, when I get more money I am going to get another RP360XP. There is even software someone wrote for Linux, which is the OS on my computer I use. I never understood the hate for Multi-Effects units (until recently with the new $500-$2000USD ones that people seem to like), you usually just have to play with them a little to get a sound that you want and that works with the equipment you have.
I'm using mine in a similar way here in Skeg Vegas. 3 presets increasing in drive (Fender Clean, Marshall Drive and Uber Distortion) then bringing in the extra Modulation, delay or drives as needed. Straight to a mixing desk. Pretty much a 3 amp and effects board set up but all in one unit. Perfect 👍
I was to buy this pedal but i end up buying the TC Electronic Plethora X5 for the simplicity when diving into the menu . My first pedal ever was the Nux Chorus and sounds great , Nux have been along way in their products with really great gear . Great guitar playing as always
If you want it on battery, Thomann sells pedalboard power supplies that can be recharged. Sounds awesome and it’s very handy when gigging, because I don’t have to have a plug right in front of me to play!
Thanks for the video!! I’m really interested but.. what about the latency while switching patches? Very nice ambient tones, do you just use the volume or is there also a slow attack/decay effect in the Trident? Or maybe a filter? Let me know Do you recommend this unit or ME-90 of Boss? (you mentioned batteries..)
Hi Dave, this video is super useful for me, thanks a lot. May i ask you something ? Whar signal chain did you use on 2c patch ? Love that ambience tone ❤
You made it sound great! Been watching reviews on this trying to decide as I can't try one in person before buying I have to order and have it shipped. You weren't using the IR's? ...so I'm still undecided. LOL First time watching you, I'll be looking for your IR follow-up. 👍👍
Will it replace the pedal board? I always seem to switch between every now and then 🤦♂️ At the moment I’m on pedals but thanks to you I now need this! 🤣🤣
Hi Dave, you can power the Trident with a 9V DC 500mA Powerbank for Busking etc. The Harley Benton PowerPlant Powerbank would work just fine! I use this Powerbank with my Nux MG 30 for busking etc.
Hello Dave, thank you for the demo ! could you test it with differents guitars please ..? because i had the MG-30 and found it a bit killing the tone caractere of my guitars... all sounded a bit the same thru the MG-30, even if it had a great sound !
Hi dave another fabulous video your such an inspiration all the best for your gig tomorow i will have to wait till you get closer to london i heard about the trio getting taken on by midnight mango i knew good things was going to happen how long before your film comes out
Hey Dave! Amazing review and amazing playing. The intro is absolutely phenomenal. From your own personal point of view, how does this Trident compare to Valeton GP-200, for example?
Dear Dave, Beautiful video as always. I really enjoy watching your reviews and tests. I wish you all the best, you bring joy from music and its creation, including inspiring ideas. Pavel Czech Republic
If something works for you? It works! Irrespective of the badge When the next Jack white comes along using what they have "who'd 'ave thought it? " eh?
Id like to request a demo of the Mesa IIC+ Metal sound. I love all the other sounds but thats the one that i have yet to hear and its the one thing keeping me from buying it. Also, do you find a drop in volume when moving from patch to patch? Specifically from a clean patch to a distorted patch? I have often had that issue with these types of units.
If you run into the return of the amp how are you controlling the volume with no master volume on the board? You dialed them to the level you wanted? Amp volume is wide open that way?
OK Dave.... definitely a very good analogue multi-effect !!! But in the video what configuration is used ??? Is the NUX TRIDENT connected to an amplifier ? is it connected to FRFR amplified speakers ( which ones ?), is it connected stereo or mono ??
hi dave. Im interested with this trident since viewing this video, but what's your opinion about preset switching? is there any noticeable gap/silent buffer when switching from clean to drive/dirty preset?
Digital John here, don't do it you will be on lee's hit list. I have to whisper cause I am in Andertons basement surrounded by tube amps and I am scared. Ronnie here, I made all that up but John Frusciante did just burst into my house and slap me for using a DS-1 instead of a DS-2 and then mumbled something about being under the Bridge.
No wonder you feel a bit funny Dave ,there's some gnarly s*** going down in the world right now. So thanks for staying on the ball enough to play for us.
Phil Mcknight did a thing at Sweetwater where he asked reps how to say the names of certain products we always get wrong. the girl from Nux said it should be pronounced Nux, not Nux.
