It's unexpected that I have been hearing the album until today for almost 20 years! Still facinating to me! Thanks I find Giant Step tonight,...... from Macau
I remember buying all the available 12" remixes that came out, but never bought the actual album. Finally copped a used CD of the album for like $2.00 from a spot near my house in Northern NJ....and couldn't believe it! Even had it signed by Dave Valentin (one of the artists) at a concert one evening, Still would like to get the 2 record set one day....
Thank you for posting, this is awesome. I had this album on CD for years, from when it first came out in 1997. When I was in Japan in 2001, one of my happiest moments was walking into a record shop in Shibuya and seeing this album sitting on the shelves, as a double vinyl edition. That was a great purchase.
wow!, I wasn't aware that song You Can do It Baby with George Benson came out so long ago, I 1st heard it in 2009, after 9 years of listening to MAW, it's so fresh that if i 1st heard it today and someone told me it was released last week I'd believe it
I bought this album as a teenager in the 90s knowing nothing about it - I probably thought there was some scratching on it (idiot hip hop kid). There are so many unique and important musical styles on that - it was highly creative - had such prolific legendary artists on it. It changed my life - sounds so nice and shows you what good taste is about.
