Nuzlocker Reacts to "I Attempted a Pokemon Platinum Nuzlocke" 

Never understood why people don’t like when I talk during these reaction videos. The whole point is to give my input on the video I thought.. If you want to watch the video uninterrupted, just go watch the original video LOL I leave it in the description for that reason

For those who didn’t watch the stream, Jaiden actually lost her first attempt at the Elite Four. Her Togekiss died to a crit Stone Edge against Aaron’s Heracross, and her Garchomp and Quagsire had really unlucky deaths against Bertha’s Rhyperior. Since the rest of her team was weak against Flint, she gave up. However, since the reason for her losing was extremely unlucky and not mistakes on her part, she did a poll asking if she could retry the Elite Four. 70% said yes, so she did it again. She won, but it was hollow. “Alternate Timeline Jaiden” was her, when she lost the first attempt.

Btw all the glimpses and phases glitch things are bc she lost agianst the e4 and did a poll and the twitch voted for her to go agian

Just wanted to say that Quagsire was not getting hurt from Milks thunder when you paused the video. That’s why it was smiling with his tongue out

The reason why she feels guilty is because she lost her first run at Bertha, when she had first lost Colgate to stone edge from heracross, then oops to crit earthquake from rhyperior, and flakes died to rhyperiors avalanche. Nothing could take flint down, so she reset

Everyone: Um actually, Quagsire is a Ground type Pokemon and if therefore unaffected by an Electric type move like Thunder. Me: Bitch the Quagsire was fine, it was just sitting there with its tongue sticking out, Gyarados and Floatzel were getting fried, but Quagsire was fine, she understands basic type match ups.

What happened in the elite four and split world is where she lost her first elite four run and her chat let her retry so that’s that Edit:it basically showed what happened in her first run and what happened. And she said she didn’t deserve it. 😄 so technically she didn’t win

To be fair, the Quagsire is looking perfectly fine with the Thunder hitting it. But then again, they always look like that

My husband doesn’t know why I like reaction vids. But I tell him it’s like I’m sitting and watching a vid with a friend. Sharing it with them after watching it myself and know I enjoy it. Almost no one can deny that when we show someone a thing we like we end up watching their face for their reaction, and see how many quotes and reference jokes they notice that you did and which ones you missed that they caught. It’s fun.. So yeah, it’s like watching videos with friends.

Quagsire wasn't hit by Thunder. He's smiling but Gyarados & Floatzel aren't.

I know that a Nuzlocke is usually over when you lose, but i also think that her second attempt (at the elite four) fits the whole multiverse theme of the pokemon games (because every copy is it's own universe) and it fits so perfectly with the whole Giratina/distortion world story part. It's an amazing video with great story telling (backed up by the many details in the animation).

I'm pretty sure Wake's Quagsire purposefully looks happy and oblivious when it gets 'hit' by Thunder.

"What just happened?" You see . . . . . . a plot had just begun. (even tho it's just based off a catastrophic in her stream that caused a confusing and hollow ending to her run) (but at the same time was great material for a cool story, so jaiden made use of it)

I legit just tried a nuzlocke in Pokemon black I lost everything at the 2nd gym

20:28 is it just me or is that actually a really cool concept for a legendary battle? before you battle the legendary itself, it creates an identical clone of you and your team, so you have to fight an ai-controlled version of your own team?

I think the alternate timeline stuff was there because in her stream she actually lost some of the battles in the elite four. However, some people wanted her to continue so she worked it into the video as an alternate subplot ending. Cant be 100% sure, but that’s what I’ve heard/read

Supra if you looked at the quaqcyer (sp) it has a smile like it’s not being effected by the thunder so she just put that there as a joke and probably knew it would trigger some people 😂

Supra - In Diamond and Pearl there are Strength boulders blocking the entrance to Wayward cave and as a result, you can't get Gible till after Byron but in Platinum there not even there so you can waltz right in and get Gible after Gardenia.

Quagsire in the thunder looks SUPER Happy btw.

The team is god tier, ignores the fact that 5 of her 6 mons are 4x weak to something.

The reactions are insane. Turtwig is good with bite and stab grass moves for fantina. Earthquake and bulky torterra destroys Marlene and crashes wake especially if you have up defense nature to maybe take an ice fang. Don’t recommend you doing so though.

If you watch the glitch parts right before the first 3 Elite 4 members, an image appears for a split second. You might have to run these parts at x.25 speed just to really catch it. These images represent the first try of the Elite 4. An image of Togekiss being penetrated by 3 rocks appears right before the 1st member of the Elite 4, where Togekiss got critted by a Heracross Stone Edge. Before the 2nd member, an image of Rhyperior holding the Quagsire and Garchomp by their heads appears, cuz Garchomp was killed by an Avalanche, and Quagsire was one shot critted by Earthquake. The next image right before Flint was of her last 3 Pokemon scared of the fire. Since those 3 were all she had left, they were all weak to fire. So she basically conceded her nuzlocke right before her Flint fight. She did a poll, and chat overwhelmingly (70%) gave her the OK to run it again. She 100% admits to losing the nuzlocke. She just spent so much time on the game and it went against her image for her video. However, she did a really great job of implementing her first storyline by abusing the Giratina and alternate dimension scenario and made that a part of her 2nd story. She's a great animator and a helluva story-teller.

Third time I've seen this animation. It is bloody fun

I did not really know much about Gastrodon until I ran into one in the optional tournament in White 2. After that I was a fan of it. This was before its usefulness was commonly known in the Pokemon community. Basically, after someone plays a Pokemon well in a competitive tournament suddenly everyone recognizes that Pokemon as great.

20:22 so jaiden originally lost the nuslocke on her first time so she decided to implement that as a second timeline in her video (you can kinda tell she lost in an alternate time line at the end even though that alternate timeline happened)

Everyone says that quagsire getting hit by thunder is wrong, but it doesn’t look like he is getting hurt compared to the Gyarados and bweizel. They look kinda like if they actually got hit by thunder. While quagsire is just there.

That part was because she whites out near the end so she played anyway and finished the game. So she used giratina in the animation to split her into two parts where one of her lost and the other won the nuzlocke

Just an observation... A lot of people take out the second T in Turtwig, huh.

Look at the Quagsire tho, in the electricity. It's not affected like the others and actually looks comfortable.

I just beat Mars' Purrugly in my Pearl Nuzlocke. It's only a level weaker there, but the only scratch it got to use was just under a quarter of my Monferno's hp. Thank God I was able to two shot it with Mach Punch. The only other thing I have with fighting coverage is a No Guard Machop, that's a risk I didn't want to take.

I don't know the exact reason why Jaiden placed him in that image but my guess is that she wanted to show the pokemon she was up against but had to shorten the battle scene to one image to save time on the video. It's likely that she used Turt or maybe one of Jolteon's other moves on it, but there is no way she beat that thing with Thunder.

I cringed at everytime that he talked about how she won "fair-and-square" and that it's not deep at all. It's so infuriating when you look or hear at something from the outside and you know something that (who/the-character) you are looking at doesn't. Whether that be a movie, book, film, or just a recording, and you are just like: "IF ONLY YOU KNEW!" "IF" "ONLY" "YOU" "KNEW!"

To be fair, Quagsire seems to be unfazed by the thunder. XP

Cronk and Milk kinda carried on helping her get to the elite four but OOPS, the legend, the almighty Drooling Quagsire, the chosen one, carried her HARD on the Elite Four. If she wasn't unlucky enough to get crit, OOPS would've killed Garchomp

Supra, if you notice. That quagmire is smiling. It would not be smiling if it was affected by thunder. The other two pokemon are in pain. You need to pay better attention.

In platinum you have like... a 5% or so better chance of finding a Gibel in Wayward cave (20% chance according to Seribii), but it's still not that great of one. She was very lucky until she decided that Razor Leaf. P.s. Wayward cave is under cycle road, you need cut to get to it.

Jaiden said the emotional things at the end because those things DID happen, in her streams she lost. In the video the “Alternative Universe Jaiden” was what actually happened, like she said, this dimension was how she wanted it to go

Explanation for the ending: JAIDEN UNFORTUNATELY LOST THE NUZLOCK Garchomp and Quagsire fainted against Bertha Rhyperior 🏖 and Togekiss fainted against Aaron Heracross 🐜and her remaining team couldn't defeat Flint fire types 🔥, so had to restart the battle against the elite four. That why she was so sad at the ending😔

She when she streamed it up she actually wants to Flint that’s why she had the bunches of flashes of her dead Pokémon but she did it after she lost so he so she went on to not except a victory because she didn’t want it on the first try
