It touched my heart that you would support a member who is sober so deeply 😢 literally got me in tears because I didn’t experience that with a community (not a pagan community) I was in when I got sober in 2018. It isn’t easy and I envy those who can bond over mead etc.

Definitely nice to hear how you all celebrated the year and it really teaches us how to just take and use what you are comfortable with. I can say, as I was a full-time traveler for about 5 years; I had been to fest called Skooliepalooza that is held out in the desert; the drum circle was amazing and so primal. There was just a sense of belonging separate, but togetherness at the same time. Kinda of hard to explain, but if you have felt it, you know. Thanks for another get video into your world.,

I was told if you ask ten heathens how something should be, you'll get a dozen 'right' answers. This week some guy gave me guff because I celebrate luni-solar yule. I told him I was sorry he was having big feelings about someone doing things differently than he would. That or "Not my hall, not my call" is going to be my answer.

I love those sayings but I am gonna use the term "big feelings" it just sums up how ridicilous it really is.

I'm glad you're finding your way around those people. I like basing my practise in historical facts when I can, but it's not like there's stone tablets anywhere. Some people just want to step on others to look taller. Ignore them whenever you can.

It's amusing to me that it's viewed as a "cosplay" costume when our sort dress for ritual, but unquestioningly accepted when other traditions wear vestments.
