Just like AEW. I see NXT as small time, also considering that NXT wrestlers are supposed to be seen development talent. Its hard to take thst show seriously. Also ratings are low and apparently NXT isn't a money making product.
I loved Heatwave and thought MITB was alright. Every match on Heatwave delivered. I wouldn't blame you for saying that Heatwave is the 2nd best (or even the best) WWE PLE of 2024.
Getting rid of the money in the bank cash in without actually having a title change is a positive in my book. I don’t want either of the major titles to change hands via cash in
I agree, IWC are just unhappy they didn't get their desired results in MITB, overall MITB was a good PLE. Heat wave was also good but IWC are just praising it since a new champion was crowned.
@@tuanmohdarfantuankhusairry2977 Yeah, I’d rather they waste a cash in then have a predictable and un-satisfying end to a title reign. If a cash in is successful every year it ruins the novelty of the briefcase. It also diminishes the guy who won the belt because he didn’t really beat the champion (see Damian Priest compared to Punk/McIntyre/Rollins right now)
MITB was good but NXT Heatwave was Awesome HBK is dropping 🔥🔥 constantly. NXT HEATWAVE reminded me of NXT Black and Gold PPV's like Takeover Brooklyn or Takeover Toronto 10/10 show
Here are My NXT Heatwave 2024 Star Ratings Based on my Opinion: Pre Show: Arianna Grace and Karmen Petrovic vs Jazy Jane and Jazmin Nyx - 3.5 STARS (The Match was Good, A good advertisement before the PPV Starts) Full Show: Oba Femi vs Wes Lee (NXT North American Championship - 5 STARS (This was an Amazing Match, It told a Story of Can The former King reclaim his crown from The Current Ruler. And Oba Femi is a Great Talent and Wes Lee is Awesome as always, And I can't wait for him to jump to the Main Roster) Kelani Jordan vs Sol Ruca (NXT Women's North American Championship) 4.75 STARS (Fantastic Women's Match, Could be Women's match of the year contender. That Springboard Closeline That Sol Ruca did was Clean, I never seen someone do a Springboard 450 Closeline before, And that Reverse Poisonrana that Kelani did off the top rope was insane. Overall this has to be One of the Best Women's matches I've seen this Year) Axiom and Nathan Frazer vs Chase U (NXT Tag Team Championship) - 5 STARS (This has to be One of The Greatest NXT Tag Team Championship Matches I've seen in a very long Time since The Revival vs #DIY and Moustache Mountain vs Undisputed Era. Andre Chase and Duke Hudson are an Underrated Tag Team and it Sucks that people sleep on them and Axiom and Frazer are a Perfect Combination. This was Match of the night for me) Roxxane Perez vs Lola Vice (NXT Women's Championship) - 4.25 STARS - (Not better than The Women's North American Championship Match, In my opinion this was One of the Weaker Matches on this card but the match wasn't bad. Roxxane hitting the Poprocks on The Announcers Desk was brutal and her Doing 3 more Poprocks on Lola was Overkill. but this was a Great match can't wait for what's Next for Roxxane and I like her being a Heel) Trick Williams vs Ethan Page vs Je'von Evans vs Shawn Spears (Fatal 4 Way Match for The NXT Championship) - 5 STARS (Idk Where to start with this Match? This match was Incredible, Another Match of the Year Contentor. First thing I will say is Je'von Evans is the MVP in this match the fact that this kid is 20 years old, He's doing moves that I shouldn't be seeing a Rookie do. The Back and Forth between all 4 of these Superstars are great and that's what I should see in a Fatal 4 Way. The Ending got me Flabbergasted, When Trick was about to give Page a Trickshot, Page Sidestepped and Trick hit Je'von, Then he gave Page one then after Page gets hit he fell on top of Je'von then when Trick was trying to break the count Shawn grabbed his leg and Trick tried to break free but it was too late. ALL EGO is you're New NXT Champion and Trick's Face after He lost was Hilarious. All I got to say is that this match was Phenomenal, This is my Favorite Fatal 4 Way, And my Pick to win was The Winner) The Show Overall 10/10 (One of My Favorite PLE of the Year So Far)
We just had priest and io last year, and we get tiffany this year. Not every mitb needs to be used in that way. Perfectly reasonable to have it used the way they used it saturday.
the other thing i like about heatwave was it was much faster paced for mitb we only had 3 short matches after 2 hours… commercials on commercials on commercials
I actually did like the multiple pop Rox spot because of what it does for Rox’s character. She definitely could have pinned Lola after the 3rd one but she went totally overkill because she was more concerned about destroying Lola than winning the match. Adds some much needed brutality and aggression to her heel character.
Heatwave was amazing! Great matches and the ending was great. I kinda seen it coming when Oba Femi retained. I expected him to lose and when he didnt i knew a title change was coming further up the card.
What I appreciate about the end of the World Championship match was Priest's reaction. This was his chance to try and prove that he could win a Championship Match on his own, prove that he wasn't made of paper, hell it would have been better for him if he could have won off of a cash-in attempt by Drew. But CM Punk interfered and he wins the match that way, and he was Pissed. And I like that.
Good review BUT I disagree with the hate that drew winning gets, literally, no one else in the match is a viable option and the winner could not win any title tbh. WWE Championship has a year of booking set with Cody facing Solo and later possibly facing Rock or Randy. The World Title is set for Damien vs Gunther where Gunther will most likely win the title and Triple H probably wants a long run. The contenders also sort of don't make sense to win Chad is already in the Wyatt Sicks feud and later he'll set up his new faction with Creeds where he can feud with Otis, Jey is still a part of the Bloodline story (like it or not he's definitely going to get roped back into it) and a face MITB doesn't usually work, LA Knight is in a feud with Logan Paul where he will probably win the US Title (personally he was my second choice behind Drew), Andrade doesn't have a enough build and definitely was not over with the fans until the match happened where he won over a lot of fans, and Hayes really isn't ready for a top title run and needs more of a build (probably wins the US Title off of Knight). Drew was the only one who had the build to win it and Triple H definitely turned the briefcase from something that could hinder his other stories to something that further developed the big feud between Drew and Punk, Drew winning was the best and tbh only choice and having Punk cost him was also the only real choice, Punk costing Drew also inadvertently cost Seth the match allowing for that feud be reignited for their eventual encounter.
I’m gonna say this. Drew was the right choice. Look no one who won that match was cashing in and winning. Cody losing to Rock at mania or at least holding it until that match. Gunther beating Damien at ss. So using it for a storyline makes sense
@@tuanmohdarfantuankhusairry2977 I know but they won’t on this one. It’s been set up since after mania for Rock vs Cody. Plus Gunther if he does win at summerslam isn’t losing anytime soon especially to a cash in.
I think the case could’ve been used to make anyone else in the match show that they are ready to make the jump to that Main Eventer status. Have say Andrade win it and have him in a match where either Gunther (assuming he becomes champ at SS) or Cody barely survive their encounter. I think the case was just used to further a story line in the same way it has already.
11:50 the closest spot like that was when Abyss Choke slammed Daffney of the corner to the outside through a barbwire board. That's the closest I could get to a spot like that from a different company
That was my first NXT ppv. Pretty good. Also, the MITB was a great watch but it pales in comparison to the other ppvs we got this year. The matches cooked and I enjoyed the stories being told. I even loved what they did with the Men’s MITB knowing that the champions we have & are getting soon (Gunther & LA Knight) aren’t getting a title change. Plus, Seth’s back in the feud thanks to Punk’s interference costing him a chance to win back the title. I give it a 8/10. The NXT show I give an 8.5/10
Even tho I haven’t watched heatwave, I give MITB this year a 7 1/2 maybe 8 this year. I liked it. I don’t agree that the men’s MITB briefcase was wasted tho, cause if anyone else would’ve won it, nobody would’ve been successful in cashing in; because nobody is beating Cody or Gunther for a while. I just don’t see them losing on a cash in. Ppl keep saying Melo, or La Knight should’ve won, but La is most likely winning the US title at summerslam, & Melo is not world championship material yet. As far as Bron goes, yeah I didn’t expect him to lose like that, but I knew when they first announced it that he wasn’t going to win in the first place. He will be fine, and still would be booked strong going forward. No momentum is lost in my opinion. I have a feeling that he’ll be champion soon, we just have to let it play out
I feel like the thing about Sami that people don’t take in to account is that he beat Gunther the longest reigning intercontinental champion I know bron breaker needs to continue the momentum he is gaining but they also are building Sami because of the champion he has beat imo
Honestly I think Punk interfering in Drew's cash in was just a way to bring Seth back into the feud. So Seth can hate on Punk and Drew, and make it a three-way feud. Also Priest dragged his cash in, so okay with a wasted cash in.
@@JordanODashsorry to kinda ruin your dream...but its clear by looking at his recent booking of money in the bank, that Paul clearly dislike money in the bank as an idea as he seem it tempered with his 'long term' booking...I dont think it will a success for next year money in the banks winners as he already replace the importance of it with King of the Ring tournament
Honestly, Have Drew on the ladder, hit CM punk’s music and he comes out, so we could see Drew struggle between winning the MITB and beating the Sht out of Punk. I think that moment would add more than just another “Beat up Drew before he wins the belt”
Sami slander still makes no sense to me. Rookies in the nfl have there welcome to the nfl moment when they take their first big tackle. This was that moment for Bron. He thinks he is on top of the world. He is bigger, stronger, and faster than anyone, but he underestimated Sami just like the last guy. And if there's anyone you shouldn't count out, it's Sami Zayn.
The cash in was great I can say it enough when was the last time the men's mitb briefcase wasnt held for months before being used I think the last time this hpned was Dean Ambrose ( jon moxley ) now they can focus on tiffy in the bank and not drag out another men's mitb next year they can use it to make a star.... Coz who was Jey or Master Gable gonna cash in on ? Gunther should win in SS and have a long reign only losing in a 1v1 , Nobody is cashing in on Cody he wld do the bloodline things and then move to Randy or a returning Bobby Lashley maybe 🤔..... Princess Tiffy and queen Nia wld be fun to watch when she's champion and tiffy has the pink case
The Men's MITB booking is an example of the problem with long-term storytelling rn. Things sometimes get predictable and genuine surprise gets lost Reigns keep getting longer so the odds of a successful cash-in on a Cody or Gunther in future are low. Something needs to change
I have no problem with long term story line but this is just a horrendous decision. Btw many "long term storyline" under triple is just a repeat every week and the story only advance at the paperview....most of the time it's a stretch storyline rather than long term story telling..
Bron Breakker will be okay him taking a loss like that isn't that serious y'all like I get it. But he's still young and have Alot to do so I don't see the point of getting mad about it. Just the nature of the beast
Meh, I disagree with your thought of Drew's money in the bank being a wasted cash in(I'll admit I'm not such a big fan of the money in the bank concept) . And also there is a whole new little wrinkle they threw in there with Seth Rollins having a super big problem with Punk now so I am interested in where that goes and how Rollins figures into summerslam.
So would people prefer someone using the mitb after losing multiple times and probably failing at the cash in because the guys they’ll have as main champions aren’t going lose anytime soon, Cody is the face of the company for the most part and Gunther is going to get the belt and not lost it after a while
@@danielwilliams8726 No I'm not saying it ruin the show, One Botch means nothing. The Match is still a 5 Star Classic and The Rest of the PLE is a 10/10 for me.
Buring bron like that should be a fireable offense 😂😂He looked like a BUM Show was very mid OBA FEMI is Him,let's hope HHH is out of power when he gets to the main roster 50/50 booking not gonna work with a monster like him
We don’t need a regular tag match with the blood line we need all our brawls every time otherwise just stop with these boring tag team matches with the bloodline
