Our trip to New York for Cigar Aficionado 20th Birthday, we visited Nat Sherman in NY. Michael Herklots and Pat Felitti showed us around the wonderful shop. They also showed us the Pre Embargo Cuban Cigars that Mr Sherman has before the Embargo. A Gift from Ramon Cifuentes, a very very item which we enjoyed seeing and now sharing with everyone else.

Just gorgeous. What an honor. My very first cigar ever was purchased at that very store. The Nat Sherman Hampton. I was forever changed.

When I met Castro back in 97 he shared with me one of the original cohiba. Obv the best smoke I ever or will ever had. Fidel is a great host as well...missed greatly.

I remember walking by the shop some time in the mid-90's and seeing this humidor sitting in the window with the drawers slightly opened and noticing the sun fading on the cigars. At the time, I was a bit shocked. I knew they were special. Still, glad to have seen it in person. Thanks for the additional details.

So much for untouched! Nat Sherman wasn't stupid. I cant blame him for smoking a couple of these cigars. Are these cigars one of a kind. yes. Are they unique and special. Without a doubt. But they are not relics or ancient archeological discoveries . The cigars were made to be consumed and enjoyed! Good for him. I laughed my ass off when they thought these were untouched.

Haha, I love it. "They should have that vintage smell. But I don't think we're gonna do that... or are we..." haha, then "You smell that? that tells you, these are still smokeable." ....... hahaha. I would do the same.

A friend of mine brought me back about 75 cigars or so from Cuba. 100% better than anything Ive smoked here in the states. H upman, Fuente have come very close.
